I bought these for my son for a birthday present. They run a little big, so you might want to order a ½ size down. He loves them!

The sole of the shoe is far more narrow than the shoe. Leaving those of us with wide feet with plenty of shoe to put our feet in but not enough shoe to stand on. Very uncomfortable feeling of "falling off the shoe" with each step. I have been wearing Minimus for years but this one is no good.

The first pair of NB that I ever had that were too wide. I tried a pair of Asics Metcons which I think are much better looking that these NB but the toe box in those was so wide I had to cinch the laces which caused wrinkling and hot spots. So I went with these never expecting them to also be too wide especially since NB have always fit my narrow feet very well. But the NB can be made to fit with the laces good enough that I don't have the same problem as with the metcons. Concerning what the previous reviewer said about the mid foot sole being so narrow you feel like your foot is going to fall of it definitely feels that way for me when I first put them on but my feet stay put anyway. My only real complaint is that I have to use the highest loop hole for the laces to keep the shoes firm on my feet and that top lace ends up pressing on the top of my foot. Not a problem so far the amount of time I have typically worn these but I can see it becoming one if I wore these all day. Otherwise these are a great pair of cross trainers and I've squatted and run in them and they were just fine.

I'd also recommend: Asics Inov8

This is a Crossfit / weight lifting shoe, not a running shoe as stated in the video. I actually use the shoe for racquetball, because my foot larger than the available racquetball shoes. It excels in this role. I wear one size lower than normal, because I wear them without socks (14W versus 15 WW). My personal favorite shoe was the previous generation of this product. I was excited to see that the tread pattern was the same between this and the MX20V4, because I correctly though the fit would be the same. Now the fit isn't exactly the same, the new "Burrito Tongue" being the biggest change. One side of the of the shoe is like normal, while the 'inside' side goes from the tread up over and forms the tongue. I feel less binding of the laces on the top of the foot with the design, which is a plus. With every generation of this product the ventilation is reduced. I thought the colors and style were better in the past. I love the shoe and hope you do too.

I like this shoe, however I liked the previous generation more. Mainly because of the seperate tongue. The burrito style tongue just doesn't feel as good as the other versions. They don't feel like the shoes fit around your foot the way they should. The only thing I like about theses shoes more than previous pairs I have owned is the mesh toe box area of the shoe. This style is more flexible and breathes better. Overall a good shoe I just wish New Balance offered more colors and put a little more effort into their color schemes.
