My husband owns a landscape business so he is out with customers many hours a day as well as checking on crews and the quality of work performed. He has very sensitive feet and these shoes are very supportive and comfortable. He uses an orthotic insert which fits in these shoes with no problem. They are holding up great to many hours of very strenuous activity.

A very stable RollBar, and a great-looking shoe. I am on my feet all day and the new shoes are a blessing: no backaches, no soreness, anywhere! Worth the price, and Zappos has best deals on newest model.
Brands I'd also recommend: Only NB has the width/rollbar that I need, as far as I know.

A good, solid shoe. I find that New Balance shoes consistently feel a 1/2 smaller than advertised, which may save someone an exchange (i.e. order up a 1/2 size). Otherwise, with multiple available widths, New Balance can't be beat.

I've owned the MW955 for around a year and a half and they have been a year-round shoe for me. I wear an AFO brace and this is one of the few shoes that I can wear with my brace. The width of the shoe is important as others I've tried width were too narrow. I hope New Balance never stops making these.

These shoes are for my husband. He had purchased one pair at a local store and liked them so much, he got a second pair from Zappos. (The Zappos price was better!) He wears them with a New Balance insert for extra arch support.

This is a great shoe! It's the 2nd pair of this shoe I've gotten and I'll probably get a third pair when these wear out. I walk a lot and these a great. I originally ordered them from Amazon but they used some weird shipping company called Lasership which claimed the shoes were undeliverable. This was quite surprising since USPS, FEDEX and UPS all quite easily deliver to my building. I think if Amazon continues to ship shoes using Lasership then Zappos is going to start getting a lot more business! I know I am going to try Zappos over Amazon for my shoes for the foreseeable future.

Half way between a boot and a shoe -- perfect for day hikes. Near zero break-in required. Love them. But they do run about 1/2 size smaller than other brands.

I purchased these New Balance shoes for a trip I will be making very soon. I will be doing a lot of walking in a place where Typhoons are frequent at that time of year. I find the New Balance shoes to be extremely comfortable when walking long distances, even in stormy weather.

This is about the 4th pair of this shoe my husband has worn. They are great. He has several other shoes of this type but they have never been worn out because he always goes back to this style. He is very hard to fit and is very rough on shoes. It fits, it's durable, it's comfortable, and it's waterproof. What more could you ask for?

Overall, this is a nice shoe. I had to order a half size larger, but the width felt right. The sole is stiff, but that is what you want in a hiking style shoe. They are comfortable and have kept my feet dry.
