New Balance & Zappos - The shoes are perfect; my husband has a terrible time getting the right size. Zappos is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. Thank you.

I have been through several pairs of different styles of New Balance shoes looking for something for me, and nothing seemed right. The MW 927's I ordered are my favorites yet. I'm a very big man, 6'2" 350 and I wear size 13EEEE and in past years I've broken the 4th & 5th metatarsals in both feet. And at times I get tendinitis or something in them. I usually "walk down" a pair of shoes in a few weeks, and they are broken down in a couple of months. As far as long wear I can't say yet, but, comfort and cushion these shoes have given me. I WILL buy them again!
Brands I'd also recommend: I pretty much have to buy NB, due to the scarcity of 4E width in brands.

Overall, a very good walking shoe. Wide toe box and good cushioning. I walked over 3 miles a day on city streets during vacation and the shoes supported well, and my feet did not suffer. I did have to add an orthotic-style insole to get the arch support I need. The tread pattern of the soles can lead to slip on wet surfaces in some circumstances, though. The leather breathes, and even though I had black shoes, sweating is not a problem. Stylish enough to wear in dressy situations, so I did not have to take a dress shoe on vacation. NB is the best for wide feet.

First off, Zappos did a great job. I needed to know if 4E or 6E fit me better and they took back my returns perfectly. (Thanks for that) Now I have had my NB 4E shoes a while and have been wearing them at work daily...on the hard concrete. I have developed Plantar Fasciitis and prior to these shoes I wondered if I could keep working on concrete. I removed all orthotics and wear these NB shoes just like the factory made them. My pain has diminished. It is so important to get shoes that fit your feet. I was sacrificing proper length so I could get the width I needed. These provide the necessary width. I am not real fond of the style of laces they use but that is a minor item and can be fixed. Hence the lower rating.

Have a black pair of the MW927 which I wear to work. Also had gotten a brown pair of the MW926 just before they were discontinued. With only a few changes essentially they are the same shoe. I walk 4-5 miles daily on tile floors as part of my job and these shoes are great. Wore them right out of the box to work with no break-in period and had no problems. Used to wear the MW901 but I think the MW927 is a better fit for me and offers better support. Pretty much only wear New Balance because of the 4E size and plenty of toe room. My shoe away from work is the NB trail shoe MT811. Likely will only buy New Balance in the future. And Zappos is the greatest! For four years have only bought my shoes from Zappos. Ordered online the MW927 early Sunday morning and they were on my porch Monday afternoon! Keep up the good service.
Brands I'd also recommend: Keen sandals if you need a pair of water shoes.

Very pleased with the support this style offers. As a heavier person, my feet need good shoes. I did not realize how much my old shoes had worn out and the new shoes made a difference right away.

Great shoes. I've been wearing the same line of shoes since I was hobbled by my flat footed-ness some years back. I was on crutches and off my feet all the time. Turned out I just needed wide shoes with motion control. This line of shoes filled the prescription. I've been mobile ever since. They're a pricey shoe, but you can't put a price on your health, or mobility.

The shoes fit really well. Much better than the previous model. I am having some issues with the lacing at the top. I have a lot of problems with my feet and I can't seem to get the shoes laced so that they will not bother the top part of my foot.

It's awesome in every respect. If you're deciding on whether to buy one or not. Buy it; your feet will thank you. One caveat is that my feet do get hot after walking 1.5 miles. Guess I need to use some Gold Bond.

I started out with the NB 925's and found the fit perfect. I really liked the rollbar which was very comfortable for my heel pain. When they changed to the 926 I was a bit upset, but found they had the same fit and feel. Now we have the 927's. I feel they have improved the look while keeping the same feel. Might be a tad snug at first, but will loosen up in short order. Great shoes.

My husband wanted to purchase walking shoes that he had previously, and could not find anywhere in his size. I found them at Zappos user friendly site at a great price, ordered with ease, and received in just a few days. I will come back to Zappos again, I'm sure! Thanks from a satisfied customer. (And my husband can't believe I found his shoes and is thrilled!)

The New Balance MW927 are very well made. I like how they fit my feet. I have a very wide foot (6E) so I have a hard time finding shoes. These shoes are good for flat footed person.

Excellent shoe. Got it on sale, so even better. Compared to the 576 and the 811 New Balance shoes, I would get this one for sure. It is worth it. I am a mail carrier so walking is my life. Excellent shoe.

I walk every day, a couple of miles on weekdays and at least three on Saturday and Sunday. These are the most comfortable walking shoes I\'ve ever owned and they feel as if they really support my feet. It would be difficult to twist my ankle wearing them. They run true to size.

Zappos is top notch. I ordered the first pair of shoes and had to return because I ordered the wrong size and ordered the 2nd pair on a late Thursday night and the new order arrived on Friday the next day. Zappos is so much better than fighting the malls and the customer service is by far the best in the business. Been wearing this shoe and the wide width for many years as I\'m a big guy and these provide great comfort for all day. I wear to work sometimes but mainly wear on just the weekends.

I've always liked this New Balance model because I have a wide foot and high arch. These MW927's fit comfortably and provide solid support. I stand approximately 5 hours per day and enjoy the relief these shoes give me. Highly recommended.

The shoes arrived as ordered - 12.5 extra wide. Since I have ordered and used previous shoes in this model line before, the fit was comfortable as expected. The newer model (927) is a bit wider in the inseam that the earlier 925 but it is still a good fit. The roll ball can be a problem to those with flat feet; I have found that, after a period of break-in, I needed to slightly pad the shoe in earlier models. So far I have not needed to do this with the 927.

Great shoes. These were exactly true to size; no need to order half size larger. Regarding comfort, on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being a slipper, I give these a 7.5, which is very good. I also ordered Rockport MWT18 walking shoes at the same time and the Rocks would be a 6.0. So I'd go with the NBs if the goal is strictly a walking shoe and the Rocks if you want a shoe that can also pass for a dress shoe, such as when traveling. The NBs look too much like sneakers, even in black, to fit the dual role. (I kept both pairs, by the way.)
Brands I'd also recommend: Rockport MWT18

Nice very comfortable walking shoe. I walk over 3 miles per day at my job and finally found the shoe that fits the task. Excellent arch support and I liked them so much I bought another pair in a different color. I would recommend getting a 1/2 size bigger than you normally wear. Some New Balance shoes fits slightly smaller than others do.

I've bought lots of walking shoes, about 4 pairs per year, for several years. Maybe once in all that time did they not have the unusual size I need. Otherwise, all the right size and color. Prompt delivery, guaranteed cost-free returns if something isn't right, and frequent upgrades to faster than normal delivery. I have also shopped around and always Zappos has the best price. Pretty good deal when you consider no shipping charge on the deal, even if there is a return. The price you see is the price you pay.
Brands I'd also recommend: I have hard to fit feet, and stick to this one brand for its consistent fit.
