I do all of the shopping for my husband, for whom I bought these and another pair of shoes that would give him a lot of cushioning. Both felt good; the other pair felt a little better. He ended up keeping both (huge for him) because these looked so great. They fit well and feel very good. They do not look like orthopedic shoes, but have almost as much support. Great shoe.

I like these shoes very much. I previously bought the New Balance MW845 (which are very nice as well), but found that I needed a pair of shoes for outdoor walking that had a harder outsole for irregular surfaces. The MW645s also have a more aggressive "tread", which is perfect for rocky terrain near the water's edge. I live in Florida and we do not have hills or mountains, but we have some rocky shores. They are very comfortable, fit well, look good and have great support. I am a large person and these shoes work for me. I'm considering getting a pair in a different color since I wear them almost all the time (except when in sandals). I find the New Balance size 11.5 4E fits me perfect and have no plans to buy any other brand in the future.

ZERO arch support. I got these for my husband, I had to scavenge inserts from his other sneakers. Fantastic shoe otherwise, what were they thinking? So prepare to add a minimum of $15-$20 to buy a supportive drugstore insert, or use your own orthotic. The one it comes with is useless.

Good purchase. Overall I am pleased with my purchase of the MW645. The fit is just right and the shoe looks good. I must say that I did not think much of the inner sole which comes with the shoe. I replaced the one in my pair and found the shoes to feel much better. I do a lot of walking outside and have found that the outer sole of the shoe does fine on dry surfaces or on wet concrete; however, it seems to be a little slippery on some wet surfaces. Overall, a good purchase and worth the money spent.

I wear these shoes for walking/jogging and have found them to be extremely comfortable. I was surprised by the rapid service. I received them faster than expected because standard shipping had been changed to overnight with no extra charge. I\'m a return customer because of the good choices and service.

This shoe was purchased a few weeks after I purchased a "walking shoe." This is infinitely better. I mow lawns so this shoe is really used. It is very comfortable; fit exactly as needed. I used the shoe-size guide and ordered a 14-4E. Perfect! And the service from the best shoe source in the States was unbelievable. I ordered the shoes about 8 PM PDT and received them the next day at 1 PM. Zappos is wonderful! Thanks.

I had a previous pair of these shoes wearing out from over a year of walking 6 to 8 miles three to four times a week. They still worked, but it was time for new shoes and I bought the same model again. These shoes fit my odd-sized feed (13 4E) very well and provide lots of cushion for my frequent, long walks. I\'ll buy this or another NB model like it every year until the day I die as long as they continue to fit and function like they do.

Had purchased another pair of these shoes the past year. So far I have been impressed with the quality and fit of the shoe. I tried a different New Balance shoe, but it did not provide the support and fit I had with this shoe.

I wear New Balance regular tennis shoes in a hard to find 7EEE. These boots were comfortable right out of the box and fit just like the tennis shoes, true to size.

Got these for my husband and he loves them. He said they felt a little stiff right out of the box, but after wearing them for short periods a couple day, they were just fine. He got them for hiking and works them for several hours on rough trails and loves them! New Balance makes great shoes!

I have wide feet, and have worn New Balance Shoes for many years. It has become increasingly difficult to find a variety of New Balance styles, along with the extra-wide sizes. I discovered Zappos a couple of years ago, and love the company. I recently purchased (after much online comparison shopping) a pair of New Balance MW645s. I like the suede look, but will probably regret it when it rains. I got the 4EEEE width, up from 2EE last time, and the comfort level is dramatic! The shoe is not restrictive, in the least. It is well made and was reasonably priced, not to mention that Zappos upgraded my order from Standard Delivery to 2nd Day Air for free, without me asking.I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a stylish, affordable, and comfortable shoe. I also highly recommend Zappos, as they are just the best.

The New Balance MW645 has unbeatable looks and comfort. I have found that even though I wear an 8.5 in dress shoes, I have to half size up to 9 in New Balance shoes or they will be too tight. Also want to add that the MW645 has a nice roomy toe box.

Great looking shoe! Fit was true to size. The extra wide fit is comfortable but not "sloppy". I've been using them as a walking shoe during my recovery from knee replacement. I'm so impressed with them that I bought a second pair to rotate through my walks and every day wear.

I and my daughter both have wide feet. She is a 7 EE and it is more difficult to find women's athletic and outdoor shoes that fit than it is to find dress shoes. We day hike a lot and she also needed hiking shoes for a day camp. These have worked great! She says they feel great; no pinching and her heel stays in the shoe. Very comfortable and sturdy. I am going to try a pair next!

Excellent shoe for the money. I walk five miles every afternoon and this will replace my NB 642's, if I ever wear them out. They seem a tiny bit narrower than my 642's, but have broken in with one short walk. They are the usual NB quality. Good grip on a rocky trail.
