Since the days of selling arch supports to police officers and waiters, New Balance has been a brand concerned with meeting the needs of the everyday athlete. In pursuing this goal, they developed an "Endorsed By No One" philosophy, which holds that a superior product will sell itself better than any superstar athlete ever could. Part of producing New Balance shoes and athletic clothing is manufacturing it to fit all widths and sizes, because a better fit produces better performance.
To ensure the best fitting, best performing shoes and clothes, New Balance focuses on improving their technology and production methods. A big part of that is maintaining five manufacturing facilities here in the United States where they continue to produce New Balance shoes and apparel that meet the standards they've employed for 100 years. They have also remained committed to a core set of values that include integrity, teamwork and total customer satisfaction.

I'm 6'2" and 230lb and take 14 4E Shoe size. Why give me a pointy toe when I expect a rounded full toe in this size? Doesn't make sense and doesn't fit.

Hi, I use these shoes for walking n hiking long distance, Very comfortable and soft cushioning. My feet are wide so the wide new balance fit my feet well and are quite comfortable.

I was a little disappointed when I got the shoes; at first thought I was going to send them back but the longer I wore them the better they got.

Upgraded to this pair from another pair of New Balance. Definitely felt narrower than previous pairs but after breaking in, they fit comfortably. I guess they are using less sole material to make them lighter which might contribute to the tighter initial fit.

For me they run true to size. I wear a 12 left and a 12.25 right. This did not come in a half size. The shoe is light but if you are a heal runner then these are not for you. I am just starting with barefoot running style and these are a good intermediate without committing to no heal cushioning. In time I will go to a trail minimalist shoe after this. I needed socks with these shoes. The heal cup scuffs my feet.
