I wanted a pair of sneakers that I could dress up without having neon colored lightning bolts visible. These fit the bill. Wear these with a button up shirt and khakis, and nobody will take a second look... great looking sneaks for the casual guy. The downside is the material is flimsy. The sole feels soft and comfortable. Arch support is adequate, but there is no ankle support. The material used is so soft that your foot "swishes" around it. Good sneaks for dress down Fridays or light walking around. I would not play sports in these. Definitely not running. I returned them for a hiking sneaker which worked out much better for me.

The MR993 is a newer model of the MR992 which I have had for a few years. These shoes are used for walking and everyday wear. They are very comfortable and durable. I pack about 212 lbs. on them and they feel great and last for a long time.

What a great pair of shoes! They fit perfectly right out of the box. Nice that they are US-made. New Balance fit my feet the best. These replaced a pair of Nikes that were of inferior quality and fit poorly.

This is an extremely comfortable shoe with roomy toe box and lots of forefoot cushioning. Recommended to me by foot surgeon, following surgery that didn't heal well. One of the few shoes I can wear all day. Ordered wide width just to be safe. Nice appearance, not a fashion statement.

My husband absolutely loves these and says they are the most comfortable shoes he has ever owned. He asked for sketcher shape-ups and seemed a little disappointed when I gave him these instead, but he tells me every day how much better these are. A little pricey (most of them are) but worth it!

These shoes are extremly comfortable. This is the fourh pair of running shoes I have purchased from New Balance and plan on continued purchasing of thier products. Overall these shoes are very comfortable and do not rub and part of my feet.

These are great shoes for my purposes. I'm not a runner, but I do about 5 miles a day on the treadmill, as well as other exercise. They are comfortable, provide excellent stability and support, and are made in the USA. This is my second pair of 993's. After my first pair I upgraded to the 2002's. I tried those on and knew immediately I wanted the 993's instead. More expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. I wholeheartedly recommend the 993 as a workout shoe. I don't think I'll buy anything but 993's in the future.

I started to develop foot pain and recently started to wear orthotics to help with pain in the ball of my foot. I also had nerve pain from a herniated disc and the feet are recovering after having back surgery. I mostly wore either Nike or New Balance over the years. Knowing how Nike runs smaller decided to go with this model from New Balance after reading the reviews on Zappos. These sneakers are fantastic and walk with reduced foot pain. This is the most money I ever spent on a sneaker, but well worth it. Years of wearing cheaper shoes ruined my feet. You can't let cost dictate when it comes to the health of your feet. New Balance designs sneakers and shoes to help with foot problems unlike Nike does. Nike is more about the style. I didn't give 5 stars for comfort because I wear orthotics and after 4 months I'm still not used to them.

I buy a new pair of New Balance 993's every year to use for my workouts. For my money they are the best, most versatile exercise shoe available and Zappo's always has them and their service is terrific.

I use this shoes for working purpose. I walk on hardwood, carpet and road. This shoes is very durable compare to other running shoes. I havent try this shoes for running purpose. This shoes is not that light but it does give you full support for your feet. It worth the price is durable and made from quality material.

Zappos is a great way to buy shoes. This pair of New Balance is a nice pair but I got the wrong size for my son. He shipped them back and got something different. There was no hassle.

The shoe is very comfortable and stylish. I got the wider fit though I have average width feet. I like having the ability to slip them on/off, and this shoe allows me to do that. It is a bit pricey for similar shoes of its class, but it's a shoe that will last a long time. This is my first New Balance shoe, and I'm happy enough with it to remain loyal to the brand. They make great shoes.

These shoes fit great! They have very nice cushion, give very good support and allow my feet to 'breathe'. They are also lightweight. Over the last few years, I have ordered shoes for my mom and both of my sisters. I have always received my order on time and have always received exactly what I ordered. If you have never tried Zappos, you need to. The customer service you will receive is the best you will receive anywhere. Just give them a chance and I seriously doubt that you will ever purchase your shoes anywhere else.

These are nice comfortable shoes, and I am now on my third pair. They are best for walking or light jogging. The size is exactly what they say it is, and they fit well if you order exactly the size you need. I did not find shoes that were any better when I tried Nike or Adidas. These last a year or longer with three day a week use, and then the sole starts breaking down in the side between the heel and the forefoot. As these are gray and not totally white, you can get them dirty and people will not notice until they get really muddy. Not much traction on icy surfaces. But then, most shoes do not have much traction on such surfaces, so be careful in winter.
