The shoes are very comfortable, and stiff enough for my weight (200). I have received compliments on the style also. I don’t run, but these are my walking around/gym shoes. I take a 4E, and my last shoes were NB 609s. They were 10 1/2, but I had to exchange these for 11s. Too bad NB can’t size all their shoes alike. Fortunately Zappos return/exchange policy makes the problem easy to deal with, and the ultra quick delivery is a wonder.

New Balance sneakers have always served me well. They’re comfortable, provide support, and are as attractive as sneakers can be! I have a wide foot, which makes NB the perfect choice - what with its 5 width choice for most sneakers. And here’s a secret I don’t share with everyone... I’m female with a size 8.5 Wide foot. I ordered these particular sneakers in a men’s size 7.5 EE. (7 works better for walking shoes, 7.5 for sneakers.) So, if you have a wide foot, are female with at least a size 8.5, check out the men’s shoes. If you’re a casual dresser, like I am, this opens a whole new shoe closet for you. Back on point... You can always trust NB and you should always shop Zappos!

This is the best shoe for someone that would need a narrow width. I have bought these at least once a year for my son, as a gift. He truly doesn't wear them out. Everything that the Zappos description says about this shoe is absolutely correct. You cannot go wrong with this shoe or the excellent service that Zappos gives.

I really love these shoes; the generous toe box in the EE model is precisely what my tired feet need to stand for 8 hours a day. As usual for New Balance, the bed of the shoe (where your foot lays inside) is fairly flat. For more arch support, check out Asics. Beyond that, this shoe is a dream. The pair I am wearing as I write this is probably the 5th I have owned. Worth every penny.

Love the shoes. That particular shoe is known to be super comfortable and it is. I have the same style in grey, but I like the blue ones better. Super comfy.
About New Balance
Since the days of selling arch supports to police officers and waiters, New Balance has been a brand concerned with meeting the needs of the everyday athlete. In pursuing this goal, they developed an "Endorsed By No One" philosophy, which holds that a superior product will sell itself better than any superstar athlete ever could. Part of producing New Balance shoes and athletic clothing is manufacturing it to fit all widths and sizes, because a better fit produces better performance.
To ensure the best fitting, best performing shoes and clothes, New Balance focuses on improving their technology and production methods. A big part of that is maintaining five manufacturing facilities here in the United States where they continue to produce New Balance shoes and apparel that meet the standards they've employed for 100 years. They have also remained committed to a core set of values that include integrity, teamwork and total customer satisfaction.

Ordered one pair of these, then ordered a second pair. They fit perfectly, color choices were terrific. As always, Zappos delivers!

I burn through shoes like butter, on my feet all day long. Never tried NB before. They are holding up well. I'm an all year bike rider, don't own a car, the reflectivity on these suckers really lasts. I didn't really buy these shoes for that purpose so it was a plus, especially on winter nights on Chicago streets. They are very breathable so your dogs will get cold at night. Your feet sweat a lot so I guess that's a good thing.

I bought these for my husband, Marty Greenbaum. Here is his review: I am 75 years old, an artist who walks in the city. Walking is essential to my well-being. I threw out my old sneakers when my wife bought these New Balance ones for me. They're comfortable! I'm ordering another pair.

I like these shoes so much that I actually bought two pairs. I bought the 993 originally in black and I liked them so much I bought a second in navy! I cant compliment this shoe any more. On top of it all, I love that it's made in the USA!

I love this shoe! I was worried when I saw the 992 style were gone, but luckily I found this new replacement for my favorite shoes.

I got these shoes last week thinking that they were the same shoes that I have been buying for years, MR992. This shoe exceeds my expectations! I think the best comfort shoe I've ever owned. Believe me, my feet are so bad off I probably could get a handicap sticker.

These shoes have enabled me to continue moderate jogging despite arthritis in both feet the last 10 years that necessitated going to a slightly wider and very well-cushioned shoe. The downside is how fast the heels wear out.

A great shoe with excellent cushioning. When I was in college I used to sell the previous models in this series more to older folks who were experiencing pain in their knees or other joints, than to runners. These 'older' folks wore them as their everyday or casual shoes for their amazing cushioning and more subdued colors/style. Selling a pair of these virtually guaranteed making a repeat customer; some 6 months or year later they would come back holding their old pair and say, "I'd like another pair exactly like these." Now fast forward some 15 years of hard miles and I am one of these 'older' folks. The model changes yearly, and has seen many technological improvements over the years, but you can depend on fit staying true year after year.

I have 4 or 5 pair of New Balance model 911s. I bought them over the years because they fit. I have large, narrow, feet and New Balance makes one of the very few shoes that actually come in a length and width that fit. I was rather upset to find out that the 911s were not available any longer. The MR993 appears to be an almost exact replacement. A little expensive but worth the money, a good shoe.
Other Brands Recommended by Reviewer: None, I would stay with New Balance.

Shoes are great. Comfortable right out of the box. Extra wide turned out to be wide enough for my very wide feet.

I received lightning fast shipment! I placed my order at 10pm, and had shoes at my front door the next day at 3pm. I received great service and great shoes.

Bought these New Balances for comfort and for just kicking back. Couldn't be more happy with them. They fit to size and feel great on. You should get some spray for them as they can get ruined in the rain, however they are money for a normal day.

Extremely comfortable shoe. Classic, cool look. Looks great in the gym and also with jeans. Great support in the sole as well as the toe bed. Love the black for myself and bought the gray for my husband. Love them!

I bought these because I needed an everyday stable, walking around shoe. I prefer running shoes for this purpose, but ones that are not too squishy. I picked black to wear with jeans and they look sharp with their grey and white accents. I also like the updated heel design. I have an older grey pair and the heel was a little funky, almost orthopedic looking, with a greenish stripe in it. I got the 10.5 Wide (2E) and they are a little roomy, but that is what I prefer. To me, the only thing worse than tight shoes is tight pants. They are expensive, but made with quality.
