Very lightweight shoe with exceptional heel cushioning. Fit true to size compared to other NB models I wear. Excellent road shoe, wouldn't recommend for trail running.

I have purchased all the colors that I want so I can now highly recommend this shoe. At 9 ounces enough cushion and support for me. I am not a NB customer but this appears to be a new design for an increasing market for this style shoe. I only have 4-5K on one pair so far, brand new out of the box. No problems.

Ordered these shoes and sent them back after trying them on. I know that's a bit quick, but I feel that you know if you'll like a shoe as soon as it's on your foot for the first time. The MR890 are an extremely light shoe, but somehow they also mananged to feel bulky. Maybe I'm just picky, but these just didn't do it for. I'm a big fan of Saucony Paramounts and Inov-8's just to give you a comparison.

Little back drop: I am a neutral runner that mixes in some 3-4 mile barefoot runs for strength. I average 20-30 miles per week. I have been running on the same Asics (Nimbus 8) for 3.5 years. I hold on to shoes for a long time. I just bought these and went for a 7.5 mile run. Love at first stride. These are keepers.

As an under pronator I need as much cushion as possible as I get shin splints very easily. I was slightly skeptical of this shoe before I bought it based on the way the heel is shaped and was afraid it would only compound my problem of rolling outward on my feet. But to my surprise, within the first few strides of jogging I could feel the cushion with every step. I have tried everything to stop my shin splints with compression sleeves, topical ointments etc, and there really is no substitution for a good pair of shoes. I replaced my Nike's that are not made anymore with these and these are the best I've found so far. The only negative I have to say about this shoe is I get quite a bit of pressure on the top of my foot right where the laces are tied. So much that it leaves the under armor logo on socks imprinted on my foot. Good news is I only have to deal with that and not the painful shin splints I am used to.

I love these shoes! They fit great, have fantastic traction, tremendous support and look/feel awesome. I bought one pair to marathon train and another pair to race. Zappos was the only website that had my size in stock. They sent my second pair overnight for free. Very cool!

Bought this shoe a little over 3 weeks ago and have been putting about 16 trail miles a week on them. So far they have been incredibly sturdy. No durability issues so far. They slipped at the heel a bit the first time i wore them, but now there is none. Anyway great cushion and super light weight. Helped a ton with my shin splints.

I have worn 11 2E in New Balance for as long as I can remember. I looked on another site and they said this shoe ran true to size, so I ordered the 10.5 2E and the 11, guess what - the other site was wrong. These shoes run a little small like all the other NB. I purchased these because NB has yet to release any of the minimus in widths (they say coming later this summer). This was the lightest NB shoe I could find. I have been happy with it and I think it will prove to be a good transition from my previous heaver bulkier runners to the minimus style.

Brands I'd also recommend: RockPort- they come in widths

Best running shoe I've ever owned. Gets better every mile. Went from Wave Inspires to the 890's. Infinitely lighter and feel like I gave up practically nothing in terms of stability. Shaved off several seconds in my 5+ mile runs and crushed my first 1/2 marathon earlier this month. Have the 890 to thanks for both.

I had a pair of New Balance running shoes years ago and have since strayed away to Nike, Adidas, and Muzio expecting better performance. Pleasantly surprised with the light weight and comfort of these shoes. No injury or any other problems even after competing a 12k. I think that I am back with New Balance for good. My only complaint is that the styling could use more work, but they are after all running shoes.

Very light and comfortable! Much softer than the NB1226 than I'm used to. I'm used to getting a half size larger but these are true to size. If you have foot pain or knee pain give these a go!

Too narrow at the toes. After walking for a while it becomes tight and uncomfortable. I may have to give away. May have to order one size up.

I am not much of a runner. I run about 4 miles twice a week. After a few weeks of wearing these shoes I am satisfied. They are light and they provide nice cushioning. They do not do much in the way of stability, but they don't claim to. Very satisfied so far. Let's see how long they last. I have problems with shin splints and so far I haven't had any with these shoes.

These shoes are so light. I ordered the size 15EE and I could not believe how light they are. For the big man in your life these ease the pain of walking around in a bulky sneaker. They did feel a little snug but once they were worn they stretched comfortably.

Have you ever noticed how Nike's popular shoes don't come in wide size. For those folks looking for the Lunar series with a better fit, welcome the MR890. The MR890 is a great light shoe with the feel of the original Lunar Glides. Feels roomy, but still snug and gives you enough support. Now depending on your running, because these shoes are light, sprinting may feel funny, but still do-able. Great feel and look but we'll see if this one ups the Lunarglides which are infamous for giving shin splints; we'll see in a couple of weeks.

Very comfortable and light. Sized accurately according to what I expected based on sizes I've worn from other brands. Great, clean design. The only downside to me is that it doesn't have very strong support on the sides near the back of the shoe. Seems like it's pretty much cushion back there. I tend to lean outward when I walk, so maybe I'm just too hard on that area of a given shoe. Not sure what I expected, but I didn't get it. Other than that, I'm a happy MR890 owner.
