Replacement for the 883. I had to get half size larger in this shoe than the 883. Cushioning very similar to 883.

I wear the same shoes to work as I do for running, and the main thing I don't like about the 840 as a replacement for the 883 is that the 840 looks dorky, with the shiny plastic and garish colors. The 840 is shorter than the 833, and they've abandoned the NLock lacing system. As with the 833, there is a part that sometimes rubs uncomfortably on a spot on the outside of my foot.

This shoe is a very sub par replacement of the great 883. 840 quality of materials are disappointing and offered in only "ONE" hideous color scheme, adds misery to harsh insult.

I have the NB 883 that I love and was looking for another wide sneaker. These are them. I have 15 EEEE size and these two are the only ones that feet right. Need large toe box and width. NB calls them the SL-2 Last which fits well for me.

An adequate shoe but not comparable to the NB M883 which is purports to replace. Specifically, the heel area is not as narrow, allowing my foot to slide to the outside with every step - quite uncomfortable. The styling is rather boring, and the overabundance of mesh makes the shoe less stable than advertised.

It is hard to find good shoes for a supinator (under pronator), especially in size 15EEEE, but this shoe fits the bill and has given me the cushion to run effectively despite my odd feet, stride, and size. I pulled out the flat inserts and put in my own to fit my arch.

My chiropractor recommended these shoes. I walk 3-4 miles every day and had started having some foot pain even though I change shoes every 4-6 months. These shoes were true to size, very comfortable as soon as I put them on.
Brands I'd also recommend: Saucony

These are downright ugly shoes! However, in their defense, they give excellent heel and arch support to my 6'3",125 pound husband. We walk 30 minutes every other day and he says they are comfortable for walking.
