"Like buttah." I'm a diabetic with foot issues and an RN. I'm on my feet a lot in the hospital. These shoes were like wearing thick soft socks with support. Love them. Waited a few months to make sure that I still loved them -- I do. And I really appreciate the fact that if something had gone wrong with them, I could return them for free.

I have mixed sized, misshapen feet and use thick orthotics. This was the only style of shoe with enough toe space to allow my foot to fit along with the orthotic. I fit in a 4E without them, but the 6E allowed for a deeper toe box.

Very sturdy and last longer than any other shoe my son has worn. Roll bar in the shoe also helps him walk straight and not on the side of his foot.

Now my second pair of 1123'S (12 6E) and THE only pair of sneakers or any other shoe that fits just right. Only wish NB would offer some color options on an otherwise really comfy shoe.

Love this shoe. Probably the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I have lymphedema in both legs and walking is very painful. I credit New Balance with me being able to walk at all and these shoes feel like walking on pillows. Very good support also. I wear extra wide in other NB styles but wide fits perfectly in this style. Very expensive but worth every penny. Took them straight out of the box and wore them to work with not one sore spot or pinched toe. Will buy this style again when I wear these out. Five stars for comfort, but only giving 4 stars for style. They are a little strange looking. Kind of looks like you have the wrong shoe on the wrong foot, but that is really a non issue because they are so comfortable. Love NB and love Zappos!

If you're big like me and you run, let me suggest these! I've been on a yearlong search for comfortable shoes to run in and I think I've finally found what I'm looking for! So stable! I felt surer of my gate and could run faster without fear of injury. Very satisfied with this shoe! And the comfort is beyond any I've tried!

These are maybe the best shoes I have ever had. The tongue is tricky; you have to bend it out over the laces and pull so that there is room to slip in your foot. Other than that issue they are great shoes, very stable front to back and side to side. You can really use the four corners of each foot with these shoes. If you are a severe over pronator, these are worth a try.

I have a bunion next to my big toe and New Balance has put in a piece of nylon webbing (not leather) right where I need it! I have two pairs of these and will order more. They wash well!

I have really enjoyed these shoes--this is my third pair. I pronate pretty heavily, but with these shoes I have had very little pain in my feet / ankles. These shoes are also durable and have lasted well.

Was comfortable upon first putting them on, no break-in period. I have many foot problems and these are the best yet. Have been using Brooks, but I think I will be switching to New Balance. Great shoe! Zappos is great. I have a hard foot to fit and have sent shoes back, no problem with any returned item or refund.

Wonderful shoes for my sore feet. They are the best shoes I have for comfort, especially standing for long periods of time. I have other high Rockport and New Balance shoes and these are by far the best. I wish they made them as a walking shoe and all leather.

Updating my review from 3/2/2011. This shoe is fantastic. I have very wide, painful feet as explained. After many miles of driving to a Clarks outlet numerous times, having countless shoes shipped to the house, these are the only shoes I am able to wear. Every day! I am so grateful these things exist or I would be in dire straits here. I would have appreciated another color other than white, but these are super comfy and hard to ask for much better under the circumstances. I did add the Dr. Scholl's knee and back support insoles, under the factory NB insole. After weeks of wearing the XW Clark shoes which seem to fit perfectly, even those were too painful to wear.
