These are great shoes! I overpronate and they have support. Also, nice wide toe box and excellent cushioning on both the heel and toe area. I wear a women’s 14, but the 12.5 men’s D fit me fine, even through the heel which is usually too big when I have to wear men’s shoes.

These New Balance 1011 tennis shoes are the best I've ever worn. Took about 2 sets to break in after which I knew I had finally found a sneaker that would support every move of my game. I have bought a second pair and will probably buy another to be sure I have a good shoe when New Balance changes styles.

This was our first pair of Keen sandals and we're hooked! Each summer we get our son a pair of good sandals and these were exactly what we were looking for. Very sturdy, very rugged, very well made. They go with everything from jeans to khakis to all his shorts. We love the olive green color because they can easily look a little dressier or super casual depending on the outfit. These fit the shape of my son's foot perfectly, they are very easy for him to get on and off himself and they clean up both easily, and beautifully (they look great after lots of hard wear, and lots of cleaning). We also loved the fact that after lots and lots of hard sockless wear they don't smell! And the fact that they are pretty "green" (earth friendly) was a big plus for our family. And I recommend purchasing through Zappos 100%! At home fittings (no more taking impatient children shoe shopping!) and free returns make it worth it and then some! We will be getting another pair of these next year, and we will be placing the order with Zappos.

The New Balance MR1011 is the bomb! My first impression for these shoes were that they are big, clunky, and heavy. My feeling now is that New Balance shoes never let me down, especially the styles over 1000. My treadmill experience is that I immediately fell in love with my new 1011's. Usually, I need to break in a new pair of running shoes, but not this time. I cannot wait to put them on tomorrow and go for a run outside! My 1011's are my new best friend!

I just tried this shoes on. Even though I have tried different New Balance styles and a was very happy with all of them, this particular shoe style is amazing. It is very light and my feet expands with ease as if I were just wearing socks. I am happy with Zappos service. I ordered these items yesterday, and received them today.

Great pair of shoes. I would recommend them to any one who needs motion control on their feet. I would not hesitate to purchase another pair when these wear out.

I’ve worn 854 series for a long time. The 1011 series are more lite weight and the mesh lets your feet stay cooler.

As always, Zappos service, delivery time, description, web interface are superb. These New Balance shoes, like all NB shoes, seem true to size. I've been wearing NB's for decades. I'm a heavy guy and I'm tough on walking shoes. I walk several miles daily on asphalt, concrete (hard on humans!) and packed desert sand/dirt. I need the sturdiest, most padded shoes I can find. These MR1011s are exactly that. I'll continue to buy New Balance shoes and I'll continue to use Zappos.

This shoe felt true to size and width. I have problem feet, so I really appreciated the roomy toe box.

Could Be Better - Like a previous reviewer, I have flat feet, and I, too felt as if plastic (from the stability bar) was poking into my instep. I was SO disappointed. But, another writer said that he replaced the insole with a NB insole for flat feet, and that seemed to cure the problem. Funny, when I tried these on (at a New Balance store) the sales person said that an insole would be too much stability. He - nor - ever thought of the approach I mentioned above. Also, I usually wear a 13 EE (wide) but in this shoe a 13 D is plenty wide. Note this, those of you who need a wide toe box. Like this issue, a few years ago, the Brooks Beast has the same problem. It is now corrected, and I intend to order a pair from Zappos (I try to always try on shoes-if I can find them-then order from here). Thanks for great product reviews on the NB MR1011. I thought it was just me and my crazy feet!

A little small - The 1011 has pretty good arch support, but felt very narrow through the middle of the shoe. The shoe's toe is a little bent up, so it felt like my toes were hitting the top with every step. Maybe a 1/2 size larger would have helped, but I've never had to do that before.

Take 2 - Going up a size worked! As stated in a previous review of this shoe, I had a major accident over a year ago which shattered both of my heels and traumatized both feet and ankles. Finding shoes I can walk in at all comfortably is, to say the least, difficult. I tried this shoe before but my usual size 12 was impossibly small and 12.5 was not quite there either. This time I ordered a 13 and a 14 and the 13 worked perfectly. This shoe provides better stability, padding, and general comfort than any shoe I have tried since my accident. For the first time since I started walking again almost a year ago, I can walk with little to NO heel pain! The rest of my feet feel generally well cushioned and supported. I also developed severe imbalance and pronation which these shoes began helping me control instantly! This is a fantastic shoe for me and my unique issues. I may very well buy another pair to have on hand when these wear out. Thanks Zappos for making it so easy to try, try, and try to find just the right shoe!

Specifically to the previous reviewer from Minnesota: I am 6 feet tall and 187 pounds and I felt the same pressure pain from the arch support when I stood up and walked around in my 1011s. To solve the problem I bought the Flat Foot insoles IFF3900 from the New Balance store and took out the original insoles from the 1011 - and the flat foot insoles made a world of difference. With my severe flat feet I have gotten in the habit of taking out original insoles and adding the flat foot insoles - even in my dress/casual loafers. The insoles correct the arch but the shoe corrects the movement and motion - people like us with flat feet and over-pronation need both the flat foot arch support and the motion-control shoe correction. Overall - an extremely well-made shoe with so many features to correct over-pronators - the only thing missing was the flat foot insole.

Not true to size - I had a major accident over a year ago which left my feet severely injured. I ordered this shoe because of all of its cushioning and stability features. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to check out those features. I could barely get the shoe on my foot even though it was the same size as all the other shoes I've worn since the post-surgical swelling went down. Apparently this shoe runs at least a size small (on me anyway) so I'm ordering a size larger and we'll see how it goes.

I like the shoes but the shoes don’t like my feet. I have flat feet and as a result I have an over-pronater running gait and these shoes are suppose to correct it. So I decided to give these shoes a try, however the arch support jabs right into the bottom of my feet by the arch, I’m 6’ 1” 195 pounds. I don’t think that wearing them would break them in enough where it wouldn’t jab into my foot and the break-in would be painful and long. So decided to return them and just get a regular pair of New Balance running shoes like I have been getting. The shoes are well built with good traction and felt good on my feet while sitting down, but as soon as I stood up the arch support jabbed into the arch of my foot like I had a piece of hard plastic in my shoe. I was worried about that happening but decided to just give it a try. Lesson learned.

Great Shoes - I love these shoes. I have wide flat feet and often have a difficult time finding great fitting shoes. I use them to workout on my treadmill. Highly recommended.

Excellent show for heavy runner - My husband is 6'8" and needs a lot of cushioned support, moderate motion control and wide toe box. He was a big fan of the NB 1010, but is equally satisfied with the new model version.

Comfy - I ordered these shoes in normal width and had to return them for the wide version. Don't know if my feet are getting wider (or if I'm getting arthritis in the balls of my feet), but I think the wide size felt only slightly wider. Wide enough, though, so I'm keeping them. Very comfy overall.

Supportive, well built, attractive - great shoes - I've always had what I considered to be normal width feet, but the New Balance running shoes in the wide width make all the difference for me. Consider trying wide running shoes that made a world of difference for me. I always know that New Balance shoes fit every time. Great shoes, great manufacturer.
