I could tell these would've worked awesome. They were super lightweight (felt like air) and the support felt minimal enough for great runs. Unfortunately, they run a bit narrow, particularly in the mid-foot (which is where I need the width). Bought a EE but probably need a EEEE in these shoes. The only minimalist shoes that have given me zero width problems so far are the Run Amoc from Soft Star Shoes, but custom-made. New Balance: please bring the 4E size to the Minimus!

I'd also recommend: Vivobarefoot

Really about the best mid range minimal shoe out there with great fit and extremely light. For those of us who are not hard core minimal runners this shoe can be a bit hard on pavement, which is what I run on...but this can be remedied by taking out the removable insole and putting in a flat spenco insole...these are only $10 and are actually called 'flat insole'...so it doesn't mess with the 0mm drop from front to back. The insoles are only 2mm or 3mm but don't really add any height since they replace the regular insole and crush down pretty much while running, but really take the sting out of the pavement without being more cushioned per se. Back to the shoe, it's running with an air light slipper, featherlight uppers, and a very rugged sole that is fairly flat so you don't feel a bunch of lugs and stuff. I can't recommend it more highly if you are looking for true minimal shoes; however, most people from the reviews, and I found, will need to add the spenco insoles instead of the hard flat ones provided with the shoe if running on pavement or asphalt, just a bit too hard.

My feet feel very comfortable in this shoe. Also, running in them is a joy. I am a fan of "close to the ground" shoes not only in running but in tennis. Awesome shoe. Wear it around the house long time before and after runs just for fun.

A super minimal shoe. A little more there than say the Minimus Trail but far from the feel of a supportive shoe. I think they're great for short AM runs but I wouldn't do distance in them unless you are already an accomplished sub-minimal shoe runner. Super comfortable right out of the box and have held up much better than I would have initially thought.

I love this shoe. A pair of squishy runners jacked my knees, and these are stabilizing. Love the wide toe box. Using the toes to balance and push off also helps my knees.
