This shoe is great. It is wide and Gore-Tex, two things that are hard to find for some reason. The shoe is comfortable and has held up great outdoors.
These shoes are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owner - they fit great! However, they are NOT WATERPROOF! The first pair I bought leaked. The second pair I received when I returned the original pair also leaked! It's a shame because they are great in other respects. If you're looking for a comfortable outside activity shoe, these are for you; conversely, if you're looking for a waterproof shoe, you're wasting your money!

These are the most rugged sneakers I have ever worn. I wear them to work as a tradesman. I never know what the terrain will be, to a white living room carpet. These are the best. The gortex makes them waterproof and indestructable so far. I buy another pair when and if these give out to the abuse.

This is a good, comfortable shoe. I have a bad joint on my left big toe and these shoes minimize the stress on it. They're appropriately stiff and made for trail walking, okay for walking on pavement, but great for gravel and uneven or slippery surfaces. I've got about 200 miles on mine and they show almost no wear. I'm yet to get them soaked, but they're completely waterproof and have minimal odor. The laces also stay "locked" by the loop design. This really helps with adjusting them to fit my feet. Sizing is way off. They're a full size small and very narrow. For my feet, ordering a half-size larger in a 4E was equivalent to a normal size 3E. However, my toes were a bit cramped until the shoes broke in.

As reviewed by others the shoe is 1/2 size small so order bigger than usual. It is very comfortable with good support. The sole is stiffer than usual, which I like a lot.

Besides being a little hot (in warmer weather) the shoes have been great so far. I've worn them 6 times now. I have narrow feet and they fit great. I've walked in the rain and wet grass and my feet have stayed perfectly dry. They are stylish and comfy.

So far they are great shoes. I work outside so having Gore-Tex for those wet grass mornings was a must. I bought another pair of NB, but they shrunk once they got wet, so this time I went with one size larger than I usually wear and they fit perfect. My feet stay dry and comfortable all day. Highly recommend the 1520. As always, props to Zappos. Super fast shipping and always amazing customer service.

Narrower than you'd think -
For years I've found solace in NB 9.5 4e shoes, knowing they'd fit my wide dawgs when none else would. These shoes are a departure from that pattern - way narrower than any other 9.5 4e's, including my last pair - a pair of MT1110's, which use the SL-1 last. Look cool, but not as wide as earlier shoes...

These are awesome shoes! But, this particular model runs a little small. I am returning my pair, and trading for a size bigger. Even though Zappos has the greatest customer service dept. ever (they helped me a lot!) take my advice and order them a little bigger from the get go.

At last a 12.5 from New Balance -
I had to stop wearing New Balance shoes because a 12 was too small and a 13 was too big. Now they have a 12.5 which is just right. After walking over forty miles in these shoes, I have no sore spots on either foot.The heel cushion does its job and then some.Thanks New Balance for making a 12.5 shoe. ZAPPOS service is tops as always.

Great looking! The styling is unique and has just the right amount of color and it has a gortex sock. I have a high instep and the tongue was the right size.
