New Balance began as a Boston-based arch support company in the early 1900s, developed into a specialized manufacturer of shoes in the 1970s, and has grown to become a leading global athletic products company. Today New Balance is a family of brands including New Balance, Dunham, PF Flyers, Aravon, Warrior and Brine.

Since the days of selling arch supports to police officers and waiters, New Balance has been a brand concerned with meeting the needs of the everyday athlete. In pursuing this goal, they developed an "Endorsed By No One" philosophy, which holds that a superior product will sell itself better than any superstar athlete ever could. Part of producing New Balance shoes and athletic clothing is manufacturing it to fit all widths and sizes, because a better fit produces better performance.

To ensure the best fitting, best performing shoes and clothes, New Balance focuses on improving their technology and production methods. A big part of that is maintaining five manufacturing facilities here in the United States where they continue to produce New Balance shoes and apparel that meet the standards they've employed for 100 years. They have also remained committed to a core set of values that include integrity, teamwork and total customer satisfaction.

Just put 40 miles on these in 3 weeks, a little gravel, sand, dirt, and lots of road. My feet are thanking me for these shoes! My other shoes are Inov-8 Road-X 255's and they're probably the best shoes I've ever worn, however, I'm a heavier runner (185lbs) and they have nearly no padding, so longer runs over 10K make my feet feel crushed. No good :/ So I started looking for a shoe that was light weight with more cushioning. Pros: Light Weight / Cushioning / High Quality / Happy Feet Cons: Tight Toe Box / Traction: 7 out of 10

I'm a bigger guy and I use these shoes mainly for sprint workouts. They are excellent shoes for hard sprint workouts. The running shoes I had before were causing me shin splints. I put these on and the sin went away. They are great big runners.

Have had these running shoes for a month. Have run about 12 times in that period and I really like these shoes. So much so I have ordered a second backup pair. Initially they felt wider and roomier than the Adidas pair I replaced but after a week they felt fine. Only regret is that the Women's 890V3 comes in better colors.

When I can get a wider width, I drop my size by 1/2, so I bought 11 EE (wide) instead of 11.5 D. It was perfect. After wearing these for a day and a half they felt perfectly broken in. The mesh upper is airy and light, on a windy day I could feel the breeze on my feet. This kept my feet cool and very comfortable. I wish it had a little more arch support, but it's adequate. I am susceptible to plantar fascitis and so far there's no hint of trouble wearing these without any special orthotics. (FWIW, Viscospot heel inserts will fit in these if needed, though it's a little snug.) Overall I'm quite pleased with these and thinking strongly of picking up another pair or two for the future.

I'd also recommend: Keen, Nike

These shoes have a very minimal feel, with a strong presence of comfort and cushioning. Air passes right through keeping my feet cool on hot days. I am really enjoying them.
