This shoe has some major problems. The Velcro closure is attached in such a way that you can't loosen the shoe enough to get their foot in, even the wides. The shoe might be wider but it doesn't matter if you can't get their foot in. My 4year old can't get them on by himself and I even have trouble jamming his foot in. Also, he's only been wearing them for a couple of weeks and the fabric over the toes isn't wearing well.

This shoe has some major problems. The Velcro closure is attached in such a way that you can't loosen the shoe enough to get their foot in, even the wides. We're on our second pair of these. The first ones started falling apart within a couple of weeks of use. Zappos customer service being as it is (BEST IN THE WORLD!) they were replaced with a new pair. Now - after only a couple of months - same problems. Alastic strap becomes stretched out and falls apart, and seams on the shoe start to deteriorate. These are terrible shoes in our opinion!

My son loves these shoes, but unfortunately after only 2 months we are already replacing them. The stitching on the toes of both shoes has come loose and the velcro on one shoe has detached from the elastic strap. We love New Balance, but these shoes do not stand up to an active little boy.

Do not buy these shoes. I ordered these from Zappos on September 16. My six year old has worn them for exactly one month and the strap on one has already torn (I had to sew it back together). Plus the velcro on both is not very sticky, it doesn't stay closed. Very disappointed after paying so much for this shoe.
