Thank goodness for New Balance! My son has W feet, so it is always a challenge to find shoes for him. We tried a Reebok basketball shoe, but it only came in M width. The shoe was too narrow in the heel even going up a half size in length. As usual, the New Balance fit right out of box and are comfortable. My son loves them. I spent more, but he is not likely to wear them out, so they will be hand-me-down for little brother.
Brands I'd also recommend: Stride Rite, Saucony

Like the ankle support, just wish you had more extra wide and ankle support shoes. My 5 year old loved this shoe. Hard to find extra wide, for a wide foot, high arch little boy.
Brands I'd also recommend: If you are looking for Extra wide,so far only New balance has worked out for my boy.

My picky 10 year old loves this shoe. Kudos to NB for offering W fit in kids basketball shoes. (Nike take note!) Son says they're comfy and wears them for both school and basketball. He's very hard on his shoes, but these look like they'll hold up great. The only negative is the white base of the shoe - wish it was all black. The white contrast gives the illusion of having odd tiny little feet. All in all, we would still buy again.

I was extremely happy with the wide width selection at Zappos. The retails stores like Modells and Dick's had zero selection of wide width basketball sneaker. I going to buy all wide width sneakers from Zappos from now on.

I had a terrible time finding shoes at the neighborhood sporting good stores that fit my son's wide feet. The toe box was too tight. I am glad that New Balance and Zappos have teamed up to make sure kids are comfortable on or off the court!

Best shoes ever (especially for children with extremely wide feet). We are on our fifth pair (as he grows) because they are comfortable-durable and look really cool with everything too.

My son has very wide feet and so wanted a pair of court shoes, these were the only option and they are great. After getting used to the higher tops, he loves them, and wears them every day. He says they are very comfortable. We got the white, and I can't wait for the next pair in black, as it won't show as much dirt. Great price with the look all the boys are wearing right now in sports.

I purchased these for my 8 year old. I was concerned about possible foot/toe injuries because of the quick stop/start nature of basketball but these shoes kept my child's feet pain free and injury free. The shoes we purchased are regular width and are a great sneaker. My child likes them so much that she keeps asking when she can wear them to school. My son is also looking forward to getting the same sneakers next year.
