My son loves these shoes. The lace look is cool, but the Velcro closure means that he can put them on without help.

Purchased for my grandson, he loves the shoes and tells me that they are very comfortable and he likes that they are very light. Although laces are shown they cannot be used or adjusted, the Velcro fastener has held up so far and and does the job of holding the shoe secure. We are pleased with the shoe and would recommend.

My son loves these shoes. They are great for his wide feet. They are the only athletic shoes that are comfortable to him. This is his third pair. They have a quick closing velcro strap, but also built-in laces, which is a nice touch.

These shoes are great. They fit well and look nice. My son is older (10), yet doesn't like to tie laces, especially when he's in a hurry. These shoes don't look like little boy velcro strap shoes. They offer that convenience without the babyish look. I hope they keep making these.

I have wide feet and so does my family. New Balance is one of the few brands that provide a huge selection of wide sized athletic shoes. The comfort is always there, the styling is always current and hip. And the price is always right.

These shoes are great! Made very well, very sturdy. I anticipate they will even last my 4.5 year old a long time. The only drawback is that the mock laces are too loose and have too much slack.

My son is 6 and loves them. He's a little picky and hates Skechers because they're stiff and heavy, so these must be the opposite. I bought them a little large but they didn't slide off his heel. He claims his shoes make him the fastest kid at recess. I like that they look like lace-ups but they are really Velcro. My son can tie laces but we make him take his shoes off in the house and he's always coming in and out. He's had them for a few months of hard play and they still look new. Plus, they match his Spy Gear stuff which is "cool."

These are a good pair of sneakers for my first grade son. He still likes the velcro closure for quick on and off, but doesn't want shoes that look like they are for a little kid. I like the black/grey color scheme because it goes with most everything he wears and doesn't get as grungy looking as a pair of white or light colored shoes get.
