This is the second pair of grey NB that my 5 year-old son has requested. He loves them because they make him run "super fast." I love them because they're easy for him to get on and off, they last a long time, they appear to be very comfortable and offer lots of support, and they coordinate with almost anything: from very casual "all boy" outfits to nicer shorts, etc.

I finally decided it was time to buy some practical grown-up shoes for my 4-year old son. These shoes are my best purchase this year. He plays very hard and these can handle it no problem. He can put them easily by himself and I can throw them in the washing machine. They look very supportive and comfortable and he hasn't once complained about them. The sizing is tricky. He is normally an 11 to 11.5 and I ordered both the 12 and 12.5. I ended up going with the 12.5 even though he had almost a thumb-lengths of room in the front and am so glad I did. They grow so fast and I want him to wear these as long as possible. The 12.5 doesn't seem too big either. So, they run about 1 size small. Love them!
Brands I'd also recommend: Willits, Keds, Geox

These shoes offer a lot of support and proper cushioning. They are flexible and light. You can tell these are quality shoes and I have had no problem with flaws usually in other (better) brands. These fit true to size and potentially run on the slightly narrower than marked side. A great buy and kids find them so comfortable!
Brands I'd also recommend: Any New Balance Kids, Morgan and Milo, Pediped

Love these shoes! My 6 year old has to wear a brace on his right leg, and these are great because they are wide enough to fit the brace in. They also hold up very well. These are the only tennis shoes I buy for him!

These are great shoes. My kids have had this model in several colors and sizes, and they're dependable, easy to put on and take off, and sturdy. The dual straps that are joined together at the side are much more secure than the Z strap style, but just as easy to use. They like the style and the fit, and consider the shoes to be fast. It does bother me quite a lot to have to pay so much more for the youth size than the toddler, though.

One of the few pairs of shoes that are all one color, which my son needs for his school uniform requirements, that are comfortable, healthy for him to have on his feet (proper support) and velcro! This is with free shipping, free returns, and it's easy to get! They run true to size, too.

My daughter, age 8, chose this sneakers and she loves them. She does not like all the flashy, girly shoes out there and these are perfect for her: not flashy, very comfortable, true to size and easy to get on and off. She likes the cool, sort of unusual gray color.

I bought these shoes to replace another brand of shoe that did not hold up to my sons wear and tear on the shoe on the play ground. His school wants them in velcro shoes for PE class. It is very hard to find a big kid sytle shoe in velcro, but these were perfect. Great fit and are holding up very well! wonderful.

I got these in the wide width for my 4-year-old son and they are great. I like the simple retro styling much better than the brands that have lots of busy stripes and textures all over the place. The shoes are easy to get on and off and are a good fit for wide feet. Great for summer too, since they're lightweight.

My son loves these shoes. They look good with his uniform khaki pants and he can play soccer and hockey all day in them. He has a pretty wide foot and it's not always easy to find him shoes that are comfortable and look good.

This is our fourth pair. My son has very wide feet and this is the only brand he will tolerate. The navy color is cute but still neutral and matches well with all my son's clothes. My husband and his father also wear New Balance extra-wide shoes, so I guess it runs in the family!

Love them, I brought this sneakers for my 5 year old son. He loves to wear them to school. It's so easy for him to put them on when we are rushing in the morning. This is the type of sneakers that are recommend for kindergarten because teachers don't want their kids to wear shoe laces.

My son likes these sneakers a lot, but he has started to fold the tongue over under the velcro strap to fill up some more space. Seems he can\'t make the shoe tight enough, though the length is right. They had seemed a good fit initially. Still, he isn\'t willing to return them. So I would say they run wide.
