I'm a big runner, 6'2", 200# but ironically I'm a neutral runner. I'm supposed to be flat footed and overpronate; however, I have an average arch and a neutral gait. I do have a very wide foot, however. I bought these to rotate with my other running shoes. They are certainly plush with the new foam sole. And, by my standards and other running shoes I have, I'd consider them relatively lightweight. I run or walk (or both) 5 miles every day. When running I found myself "bottoming out" in the forefoot, so the cushioning is not really great for me. If you are a "slight" neutral runner these may be perfect for you to try. For me, they will make a nice pair of casual shoes for just kicking around. I'm not really disappointed as I just thought I'd give them a try. Also, if you're a larger runner like me and looking at Nike's neutral shoe, the Vomero, I found the same bottoming out in the forefoot, too. I may try another New Balance neutral shoe to rotate with my primary running shoes, Asics Nimbus, their most cushioned neutral shoe. I have two pair of the Asics Nimbus and I should just stay with what works. Think I'll buy more Asics. What was I thinking?

Wrong. I really like NB Shoes. I really do. I've been buying the 890 for 4 years, but they they screwed that one up at v4. So I had to make a switch. I found that they really screwed up with this one. Here are the problems I found, but first my running type: - 6'2", 160lbs - 7:15 pace - 20-30 miles a week - Runner all my life - Neutral runner that tends to heel strike - narrowish foot. Here is what I found wrong: - The shoe is not sized correctly. I usually run in a 11. I had to get a 11.5 because the shoe is so narrow. The 11.5 is fine after 15 miles and my feet have swollen, but for short runs they feel oversized. - The upper is so poorly constructed. There are sharp edges on the tongue. The mesh has started to fall apart at my big toe. And I only have about 100 miles on them. - The heel doesn't hold very well. I think this is due to the size not being quite right. - It's not a soft sole, it's not a hard sole. What the hell is it? It's nice, but the shoe is in a huge conflict with itself. But, I've been marathon training in them, so I'm pot committed for my race in 2 weeks. After that, I'll be looking elsewhere.

Fantastic shoe, like walking on air and quiet, very comfortable and many compliments from all who see them, was featured on cover of Outside magazine as best essential gear and they got it right on the spot, thick padded tongue, and very absorbent sole.

I'd also recommend: possibly new balance

I am very happy with these shoes! I bought them for jogging/slow-running. I'm a 200# 6' ex-hammer thrower running for cardio. Size 13 4E shoe. Great support and stability. What I really enjoy is the cloud-like cushioning, as that makes for an enjoyable run! I highly recommend these shoes for fellow Clydesdales! I was most recently wearing M1260v3's to run, but I now use that pair for everyday walking.

I'd also recommend: new balance, brooks

Started out well, and then the cushioning gave out after two months of lite running. Arch support collapsed and then the top of my foot started to hurt.

I'd also recommend: Asics
