These shoes are cool, but offer no support at all. They are extremely flat on the bottom and the insole is glued into the shoe, so you're stuck with it. I have the navy pair and they are some of my favorites. I also have the all black pair which are cool, but I find myself never wearing them. Overall they are comfortable for everyday wear, not running or anything. Run pretty true to size; can be snug, but after a week or so of wearing they'll fit fine. I only say this because I wear a 13 and I have a wide foot.

I love the look and they are extremely lightweight, although I have to agree with others that they are a tad cheap on the materials. For instance the tongue is foam stitched to nylon with no side seam. Also, I would invest in insoles with arch support. These things are flat and your feet will get sore if walking in them all day. Of course, I bought them for the retro look.

New Balance Classics - They are great shoes! I have never owned New Balance shoes before, but they are nice and light, as well as attractive.

Buyer beware - Bought the shoes for the looks, but they might be the least comfortable shoes I have ever purchased. They are moderately light weight, but the new insoles I had to buy for them made them heavier. The shoe is made from very cheap materials, looks like it cost them about $5 at a craft store to make it.

Looking for Comfort??? These shoes are great especially with jeans. They're "slimming" if you can say that about shoes. The size 9 I bought fit perfectly, but my feet look smaller than usual! My only negative is that the insole provides absolutely no arch support. This wasn't a problem for me since I usually switch out insoles for more supportive ones I bought in Lady Foot Locker. Once I did that these shoes were perfect. I can wear them all day without any foot aches or pains.

Retro NB's - Great shoes! Slightly on the narrow side but very comfortable out of the box. Would never want to actually run in them however. I wear them for 12 hour nursing shifts in the ER and never feel the need for another shoe.

Excellent casual sneaker. This retro New Balance sneaker is incredibly slick looking and pretty comfortable. I wear a 12.5 New Balance sneaker usually, but the U420 doesn't come in half sizes after 11.5, so I ordered a size 13. The size 13 fits well due to the narrow toe box of this sneaker, but I think a 12.5 would have been adequate. I have high arches, and the New Balance U420 offers moderate arch support at best. I ripped the non-removable liners out and replaced them with a pair of Superfeet Orange insoles and I could not be happier with the support. I would not attempt to run or exercise in these sneakers, but they are fantastic for casual use and have a very slim profile that doesn't look bulky with straight leg jeans. Zappos service was amazing, I ordered these sneakers around 3 p.m. and they were at my doorstep the following afternoon. I highly recommend this cool sneaker and Zappos!
