Not at first - I actually have a return label for these shoes from back in April. Then one day my lace up steel toes were too muddy, so I stuck these on. They were tough to break in, but now they are one of my favorites. I still have a little trouble with my fat toes and any steel toe shoes, but these are nice and long lasting shoes. Been about six months and only a little rubber at toe cap is coming lose, rest of shoe is perfect condition.

These took a couple of days wearing around at home to break in. They're not as comfortable as the Timberlands I bought last time, but Zappos no longer carries a low cut Timberland style, so I went with these. Even after break in, they are not as comfortable as the Timberlands. I may have to get some gel inserts to improve their comfort level. They fit well and are still far more comfortable than Redwing shoes. I just wish Zappos did not discontinue the Timberland low cut style I got last time.

Despite my earlier comment about the inner lining wearing out on the heel, don’t let that put you off buying them! Having worn the shoe 6 days a week for 4 months now, I’m finding that they are holding up great and are seriously the most comfortable shoe (steel or otherwise) that I have in my wardrobe!

This is my fourth pair of Nautilus shoes. I buy these for work in our restaurant with a slippery tile floor. I rarely ever slip. I\'ve tried other brands, but I highly recommend this one!

I would not recommend this shoe. I chose it based on the reviews, the description and features. I'm a production supervisor so they don't even receive much punishment but I bought them 4/21 and by the end of July all the stitching is coming undone on both shoes creating big holes. Also there is very little arch support (easily fixed with insoles) so all this talk about Nautilus pioneering ergonomic shoes is crap. My other work shoes are steel toe Dr Martens and two years later they look all but new.

After wearing steel toed shoes for 30+ years, this is the best shoe I've ever worn! Lightweight, you forget these are steel toes! Great arch support and true to size.

I got these shoes for work, because I needed a steel toe shoe. I liked the way that they looked, not like typical "safety shoe". But they were so uncomfortable!! I hated to have to put these shoes on. I had to put my old shoes on and wear those to work because I would not make it through a day with these new ones...my advice, do not buy these shoes!!

I work all day in a factory on concrete floors, these were very comfortable from day one. No break in period. They are also stylish & feminine, not clunky like most steel toes. Would definitely buy another pair & recommend them to anyone.

Best safety shoes ever!I wanted a comfortable pair of work shoes that would suit well for being light and safe. Well I've owned 3-4 different pair of boots in the last year and a half and only one pair actually satisfied me but I constantly had slight pain in arch of my feet. So, I bought these, I have worn 3 weeks now and these shoes are the best safety shoe I've ever owned and just as comfortable as my running shoes! I will buy this brand again!

This is a very comfortable shoe. Very light. Stylish. Quality may be an issue though. I've only had the shoes a couple months and the inside lining has worn through on both heels.

Just had to have the Ugg Classic Chestnut boot. Love ordering from Zappos as they were here in 2 days. I love this boot but wished it had more support. It's super warm! The sheepskin part is not as thick as I wished it were but still it's nice. I am a size 7 and ordered the 6 as suggested. I think I might could have gotten by with a 5 since I'm not wearing socks with mine but was so excited to get them I didn't want to exchange. I waterproofed them with a spray I bought at Wally World. The look and feel fabulous!!! Thanks Zappos!!!

Steel toe house shoes - These are like steel-toed house slippers for work! Whether in the office or standing on a concrete floor all day, these shoes feel very comfortable. I highly recommend these shoes, but because they are slip-on, some ankle support is sacrificed.

I took these shoes out of the box and immediately loved their look. Very classy. I was sure they were going to be one of my favorite day shoes. I was so disappointed to find that they were a bit too narrow for my feet. I usually take a 5 wide, and that's the size I ordered. This brand's wide is a C width, I needed a D. Too bad for me. If you don't have wide feet - give these shoes a try.

Nice Shoe but...The Nautilus shoe is great. It the first time I have worn this brand and I wish I knew about them long ago. The fit is great the comfort is ok and the looks are awesome. I do have one little problem with the N1320 though. I am a man of symmetry and I like things to be the same. So my issue with this shoe is that the left was mis-shaped or warped and I could not wear them for long. Fortunately Zappos is a great site and they hooked me up with a new pair.

Best steel toe for women, by far! I've tried Timberland, Wolverine and many, many more brands. I've paid so much money to find a shoe that wasn't FLOPPY and wasn't as heavy as ROCK! These shoes are it. I can't believe I found these on Zappos. I never thought they carried work shoes, let alone one as respective as Nautilus. I work at a construction equipment rental company and I'm on my feet all day. These shoes are perfect. Comfort and style wrapped into one. I love them! Comfortable, Versatile, Sturdy, and Stylish - I'd been searching for a shoe like this for a while. Actually, I was searching for a shoe that wished it could be a shoe like this. Little did I know that I could have it all in one shoe. It's got support, it's rugged, I can wear it with slacks or jeans, I can stand in them all day, and they're great when going through security at the airport. Just slip off, slip on.

These shoes were fine at first, though they felt a little bit large for the size marked. I soon noticed, though, that the steel toes were very uncomfortable. After 8 hours on my feet, my toes would be bruised from hitting the steel toe all day. Also, I developed calluses on the sides of my big toes because the shoes were too roomy in the front and my feet slid around and rubbed against the sides of the shoes. I've now been wearing these shoes for about 4 months and I've developed quite a case of plantar fasciitis, though I'm not sure if it's the shoes or the fact that my feet don't get enough rest! Anyway, I'm on Zappos now to buy new work shoes to replace these. It was a lot of money to spend to be uncomfortable all day long.

Good Looking but Lacking Comfort - I am on my feet 40+ hours a week at a shipyard. I need shoes that are comfortable and supportive and would like shoes that look good. Boy this seems to be impossible to find. I put some extra padding in these shoes because I am vain and desired a steel-toed sneaker, but these are nothing special. Don't waste your money!

Good stuff - I work in an automotive plant lab, so the steel toe is a little overkill, but it's not overly heavy. The non-slip undersole isn't the best (Skechers still has that locked), but it's still good. It wears like a tennis shoe and has great support in it. For the money, it's worth it.

27 years of wearing steel-toed shoes - I recently purchased the Nautilus 1450 Safety shoe and found it very comfortable. I have been wearing steel toed shoes for 27 years and have found this to be one of two pairs I have found comfortable. The other one also Nautilus brand. I would definitely recommend this shoe.
