I am very pleased with these shoes. Do be aware that as stated in the description the hand finished leather is uneven in coloration. As pictured above, my pair (Camelot) also had uneven coloring on the sole. At first I thought the shoes had been worm and rubbed in areas until I looked here again and noticed the same uneven coloration on the pair pictured. They have a somewhat distressed appearance. These shoes feel great on my feet but I agree with the one reviewer that they are relatively narrower in the front than in the back. For me the step in fit means that they are a bit sloppy on my feet that is not an exacting fit like I might get in more rigid shoes or lace up shoes. On the other hand I will not need to break them in and they should not cause blisters. They were more attractive than I expected. They appeared clunky/heavy but do not look that way. They are not as heavy as the look either. One negative for me is that the sole has a bit of a rocker shape like some expensive shoes. The sole is not flat so when standing flat in these shoes the toes are up off the floor. The bit of a heel throws my center of gravity forward and the curved up toes pushed my center of gravity backwards. When standing in them most of my weight was on my heels and I began having problems with my back, hip and knees within an hour or so. I am recovering from a fractured pelvis and have spine problems so these are not quite my dream shoes.

I had high hopes for this shoe! It had a nice appearance out of the box but as soon as I slipped it on I could tell there was no way I could keep it. I have very wide feet and this shoe was NOT wide at all by my definition (I ordered the widest available). Sigh. Too bad for me. I always wonder who's feet they are measuring when they manufacture "wide" shoes. Not only was this shoe very tight across the top of the foot to the point it was a painful pinch, they slipped off my heel in the back with every step. Thankful for Zappos relatively hassle-free return shipping! :)

I had a pair of these in the dark navy and loved them, unfortunately the puppy also loved them. The navy was not available so I ordered the black. They are comfortable and great go to shoes for everyday.

These are good looking shoes. But it took a few days of wearing to break in. I wear 7 to 7 1/2, and I purchased a 7 1/2, but the fit was still snug. I selected high scores because they are quality shoes. I recommend these shoes, but you should order a half size larger than normal.

As great looking as these shoes are, my heel rides up and down in these shoes. I have to return them as I bought them for walking in on vacation. Don't want to have to deal with wearing moleskin constantly to be able to wear these without making blisters.
