Very nice indeed, and they fit perfectly; Naot sizing is very consistent. Comfy, cute, and versatile. The color in this web image is a bit off. In reality the Shitake Nubuck color is less rosy and darker than it appears here; truly a mushroomy color, which is very nice. They look fabulous with leggings and long skirts. Zappos delivery astonished me this time (actually again!). Ordered these late on Sunday of Labor day weekend and they were at my door bright and early Tuesday morning. How do they do it?

I bought the shiitake color and I am in love. Because I have various foot problems, I thought I would never be able to wear cute boots. These boots go great with everything! Over skinny jeans and with dresses or skirts seem best. And I agree, they are slightly less rosy in person and a very mushroomy brown, which seem to go great with just about every color. I normally wear a size 40 and got a 40, and they feel slightly snug in the toes, so I am thinking about going up to a 41. I could probably wear size 40 too.

I have always loved Naot sandals but not necessarily the styling on the closed shoes. These, however, are fabulous. Very comfortable and stylish, and love the color.

Very comfortable. I bought this in two colors, since I found myself wearing the first pair constantly. These are my new alternative to clogs: just as comfy, similar heel height (so I don't have to hem my jeans!), but more stylish. I usually wear 37 in Euro sizing, but I found 38 to be more comfortable for me. A bit loose, but I can adjust by wearing slightly thicker socks. Though pricey, a good value for me, as I get a great deal of use out of them.

Naot is my new favorite brand and the Modesto is my new favorite ankle boot! For those of us who stand up all day at work AND want to be fashionable... this sweet little ankle boot is a dream come true! Looks great with skirts, pants, or skinny jeans tucked inside. Comfortable right out of the box, what more could your feet ask for? The shitake color is gorgeous; the leather is soft and supple... yum!

I love Naot - the arch support and quality is fantastic. It is worth spending more money for shoes with good support. I was not sure about this boot's shaft height. It seemed to me an odd height. But I ordered both the black and mushroom. What I discovered is the shaft height is versatile. After playing around with it, there are a few options. You can wear it alone with skinny jeans or leggings tucked in or you can add a slouchy boot sock or boot cuff to make it appear taller (boot socks and legwarmers are trendy this season); or it is short and narrow enough to wear under bootcut, flare, or straight leg jeans. The shitake mushroom color is definitely more a dark taupey/mushroom. On both the boots, the zipper pulls hard, hopefully it will get easier with use. It is a narrow boot, so may not work for everybody. I normally wear a 39 and got a 39 and it is perfect with room for thick socks.

I tried both size 39 and 40 and opted for the 39 with thin socks. Love the style and look of these suede boots. I am a big fan of Naot clogs and sandals. I am not used to the height of the heels on these boots. I can stand or sit in them, but walking gets painful after 5 or ten minutes. Hurts the balls of my feet to the point that I absolutely have to sit down!

I love these boots for heel height and overall look. However, they are tight across the top of my foot. The right side fits better than the left side. Overall they are really nice quality.

These are the perfect boots. They are comfortable enough to wear all day and stylish enough to wear with longer skirts or skinny jeans. They come to mid-calf height, so they are not so good with short skirts. You cannot take out the cork sole in these. I normally wear 38, and I got the 39 and they fit. The toe box is narrower than other Naots, but unless your feet are extra wide, these should be OK. The sole is not good for northern winter, these are fair weather or indoor boots. The zipper is sticky due to leather rouching but it opens and closes fine. They are wonderfully stylish and comfortable right out of the box. They provide the best support and comfort that I have ever experienced in dress boots.

These are great boots! I was hesitant about spending so much money on one pair of shoes but these boots are worthy of the price. A few other reviewers mentioned that the boots are a bit narrow, and since these boots are only offered in whole sizes, I ordered the larger size, and that worked for me, but I will say that if you have really wide feet, these may not be for you.

Amazing comfort! Great arch support! Totally worth the price! I usually wear a size 39, but ordered a 40 and it's a perfect fit. I bought the Shitake color a month or two ago and loved them so much I wanted them in another color. I'm a teacher and am on my feet for 8 hours a day -- my feet don't feel tired at all when I wear these! They aren't cheap, but who cares when they feel like this? And of course, Zappos had them at my house within 48 hours of ordering.

First of all, Zappos rocks! I have a neuroma so I end up trying and returning a bunch of shoes and boots and they let me! How cool is that? Naot has proven to be a great shoe for me. I have Advance - a great shoe/boot. I had very high hopes for Modesto. The color - fabulous. I love it. The fit - 1/4 inch (or a bit more) narrower in the toe box. I tried so hard to keep this fabulous boot. But, alas, the narrower toe box does not work for me. I think it may still be 5 stars for someone who does not have foot problems. But didn't work for me.

These shoes are very comfortable and stylish. They give me a lift, but with the slight platform, it feels like I'm wearing flats. These shoes are definitely for narrow feet though -- mine are narrow and they just fit.

What a beauty of a boot. If you have wider feet, or any issues inflamed by tight shoes, order a size up as these felt very narrow and short.

I absolutely love these boots, and I love shopping at Zappos! I have several pairs of Naot shoes, boots and sandals, and will continue to buy this brand whenever possible. The base is cork, so it is very easy on the back, and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Now that I know the correct fit for this brand, I just have to go on line, pick out my next pair, and I know I will receive it within two days at $0.00 shipping charges. After reading the reviews, I was worried that these boots would be too narrow. That is not the case at all. I have wideish feet; not Fred Flintstone wide, but not narrow. The width of these boots is fine. I found that they ran a little big. I normally wear a 6 in boots, but the 37s were too long. I think the 36s would be too short, so back they go. Too bad they do not make half sizes. They were cute and comfortable.
