This is the most comfortable sandal we could find for my husband. This sandal has a nice moderate arch and good cushioning for sore feet. We tried every other brand, and this was a winner. My husband wore them for 7 days for 14 hours a day in Florida and still found them comfortable. My husband has a medium width foot and they were perfect and not for wide feet: borders on narrow. Perfect size 9 in length.
Brands I'd also recommend: Asics, Dansko, Merrell, teva, aetrex

You get what you pay for with these sandals, and then some. The color is as depicted on the website and the leather is softer than it looks. My foot is just under 9.5 so I'm never sure when no half sizes are offered. The Zappos rep said try the 9, and it worked perfectly. Size 10 would've been too big. The fit is snug but not too tight, and with the right amount of space for toes in front. I can really feel the arch support. The back strap is wide and padded so it doesn't irritate the skin above the heel. I'm very satisfied with the product and Zappos service.
