Really great boot with a bit of attitude! Fantastic design on the calf! Most boots are way too large on my calves and most boots with a buckle on top don't do much to fix that except bunch and gather the leather in an unflattering fashion. These are awesome! A lot more boots should be designed like this. The front overlaps the back and therefore is truly adjustable and it does not look bulky. I don't know if this would work for ladies with large calves though. I'm an 8.5 and found the boot to fit true to size. As another reviewer states, the photo color of the clay boot is misleading. It's not a rich brown but more of a gray/very drab olive color. Like the color of clay. If you are looking for a boot with a little bit of an attitude, this might be perfect for you. However with the square toe, large leather buckle straps, and color, the boot looked a little too militant for me as I was looking for something a little dressier. However, this still is a great boot!

Love these boots! They\'re a great blend of riding boot with a dose of biker thrown in. So far they\'ve held up well to the abuse I\'ve thrown at them and I don\'t anticipate having problems with the quality down the road. There\'s a small section of well-camouflaged leather/elastic strips near the top of the zipper that will compensate for wearing these over jeans without making them too baggy when worn with a skirt. The one area I\'ve had some difficulty with is the width, as it\'s pretty tight on the outer edge of my foot in the pinky area. It\'s gotten much better as I\'ve broken the boots in (I should have used a shoe stretcher) but beware of this if you have particularly wide feet.\r\n\r\nOne quick note about color; I think the main photo for Clay is a bit off. I initially ordered these in that but it wasn\'t the rich, warm brown that I had expected (it\'s nearer in tone to some of the close-up shots). Nothing wrong with it, just a slightly lighter, cooler tone that I wanted.

 |  | Thank you very much... I just went to the door and there were my beautiful new blue slides. I can't believe I received them less than 24 hours after I ordered them. Service, service, service. Your people know what is the most important thing to do to bring customers back time after time after time. You can have an excellent product, but if the customer doesn't feel important, it makes no difference what one is selling. Too bad more people in the business world don't apply
