The Sketchers Work Shape Ups are a must have if you are on your feet all day. It is like having an anti-fatigue mat whereever you go.

I got a pair of these shoes in August 2009! All I can say is wow, what a shoe. I bought it to help me lose some weight, but I don't get a lot of exercise because I work at home behind a computer all day, so I wear them mostly for shopping, outings, etc. or any other time I will be doing a lot of walking. I have begun to see the toning benefits in the sides of my thighs and my buttocks feels like it is getting firmer. As far as weight loss, not so much, but I don't get a lot of regular exercise, anyway. Problem with these shoes: everyone wants them, so you'll have to buy them for all of your friends and family! Four people in my family have them now because I broke them into these shoes! Two sisters have herniated disks, one has an ankle injury from a car accident, and all 3 love them for the benefits related to pain relief and off-loading their spines/heels. Don't be afraid to be good to yourself and get a pair of these! I recommend them to everyone.

Other brands recommended by reviewer: There are lower-priced versions, but try them before you buy them; they are not all alike. The less expensive ones are not as thick and probably will not last as long. I think the price will come down on these after Christmas.
