I thought this was a really cute and comfortable pair of shoes; however, they were not flattering on me. I have very narrow calves. The thick straps and large buckle looked too clunky in relation to my skinny legs.

Gorgeous and fabulous! Love this shoe. Fits perfectly, totally comfortable, true to size, great style. I would definitely at least check out anything made by Kumfs. I am totally sold on this shoe.

I have wide feet and wear orthotic inserts, and have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable. This is the 3rd style shoe I ordered from Zappos and they are very comfortable and stylish. I found that I can wear them without my inserts and my feet do not ache at the end of the day! I would like to find a Kumfs shoe in Navy.

Very nice shoes, good quality, comfortable and attractive, seem to run true to size. I can wear them all day at the office, which is more than I can say for most. I have high maintenance feet!

Totally worth the price! Love them so much, I bought them in black suede and silver/gray leather. Theyre comfortable right out of the box, though I did develop little blisters on my heels after the first couple days of full use (inc. 25 minute commute on foot). Once broken in though, no commuter shoes needed (quite an accomplishment with my tender feet!). Im in my early 30s and appreciate their low-key elegance. They may not turn a lot of heads, but b/c theyre so comfy, Ill be grabbing these rather than my sexy heels more often in the morning. I probably would have found these a little too conservative in my 20s though.

The Kumfs Cruise is an adorable shoe in person. If you have not ever tried Kumfs before, their leather is the softest leather I\'ve ever felt. However, Kumfs run very narrow, and I have wide feet. I normally wear a 8.5 C/D width shoe. In Kumfs I have to order extra wide instead of just wide, and I order a half size down (size 8). Kumfs generally have very good stability and good arch support. I own the Babette shoes and really enjoy them, but these Cruise shoes do not provide as much support. They feel wonderful on my feet, but after a day of wearing them I think my ankles will hurt. I have not decided whether to keep them or not. If you have a normal width or narrow foot, give Kumfs a try.

Love my Kumfs Cruise. This pumped up version of a mary jane has a cute low heel that looks nice with jeans or a skirt. Wore them on vacation yesterday for the first time with no ill effects and we walked around a lot on many different surfaces and often in the rain. They held up beautifully and my feet felt fine at the end of the day. I have a wide foot with bunions and often shoes like these deliver some pain. Not the Kumfs. They were perfect with no breaking in. The only little problem is that the strap across the top is a bit short for a truly wide foot like mine, but since it is on a velcro attachment it works out fine.

So versatile!
I bought these shoes in 44xw Black Suede. I wear them with slacks and jeans, and they'd probably look darling with a skirt. I love that the 3/4 insole removes so I can put in my own custom orthotics. I have a high instep, so the deep heel cup and strap hold me in nicely. Although I have a wide foot, this shoe was wayyy too roomy in the toes. I found a thick liner to keep me from swimming in the front, and now I'm wearing them nearly every day. After just a couple of days, I'm even wearing them without socks! Even though they look like flats, the small heel plus my orthotic gives me a couple of inches added height.

Nice little dress shoe for wide feet -
I have now tried this shoe in 42XW, 43XW, and 44 XW. In most European-sized shoes (Think!, Dansko, Helle Comfort), I wear a 43 although I can get by in a 42 in sandals often. In my New Balance cross training shoes, I wear a size 11.5 EE, but I wear thick socks in those and a prescription orthotic. Nevertheless, as has been noted many times in the Kumfs reviews, the XW in this brand seems to me to be more of a D width than an EE width. Because this shoe is cut lower across the top of the foot, it is easier for those of us with wide feet to wear, I think. I was thrilled to be able to consider a little black suede dress shoe - try to find that in my size! I have tried one other pair of Kumfs about a year ago and wasn't wowed by the style (and for the price I thought I should be), but when I saw this one, I had to try it. I wish I had had it in my closet this past holiday season. This shoe has required some modification, but it looks like I will keep the 42XW and insert one of the green Spenco insoles under the orthotic that comes with the shoe. The Spenco provides a little additional cushioning under the ball of the foot. This shoe comes with a removeable 3/4 length orthotic that fastens into the shoe with a small square of hook and loop. Because the orthotic is only 3/4 length, my toes kept wanting to slide down into the shoe. I need a lot of arch support and I would say that this orthotic provides moderate support - sufficient for a dress shoe that will be worn to work, to a dressy party, or out on the town to a play or something. You aren't going to wear this shoe to walk for miles on concrete - or at least I wouldn't. It just isn't intended for that in my opinion. Also, the strap looks like it buckles, but actually it closes with hook and loop and makes the shoe feel very secure over the top of my high arched foot. Thanks Zappos for allowing me to have the opportunity to try out these sizes and find a shoe unlike anything I thought I'd ever find for my feet. I will probably try another pair of Kumfs if a style strikes my fancy. Next time, I will start with the 42 XW. One final note for those considering the shoe - the Kumfs come nicely packaged and wrapped in a kins of filmy cloth, but all of those I ordered had experienced some degree of rubbing on the toe area that came apparently from brushing against the box during shipping. I don't care; I am keeping the 42 anyway because I figure this is going to happen the first time I wear them out of the house anyway with suede, but if you must have perfection, just know that you may have to have more than one pair shipped to achieve it. A very nice shoe!

 | | Dear Zappos.com Staff,
I just wanted to send a quick thank you to all of you for being such a wonderful company. I have ordered from you several times in the past and have always enjoyed your wide selection, fast shipping, and easy return policy. However, while these are great attributes of a company, they don't usually inspire me to write feedback emails raving about the company. About a week ago, I wanted to order a pair of shoes I'd had my eye on for quite some time. I shopped around but, as usual, Zappos.com had the best price (and free shipping!). However, when I tried to order, neither you nor any other website I visited had the shoes in my size. I called your customer service number to find out if they had been discontinued. In my experience, these sort of help lines rarely produce any sort of useful information, so I don't usually expect a whole lot from them. I called at around 5:30am Eastern Time, and was thrilled someone actually answered the phone that early in the morning! That would have been enough to make me a happy customer, however in true Zappos.com form, my experience exceeded expectations. Not only was the representative friendly and helpful, he took time to check your inventory and find out if the shoes had been discontinued. Then, he checked out other websites to find out if they had the shoes in my size! After several minutes of searching, he was able to find one website with one remaining pair in my size. However, at that point I was so impressed with Zappos.com that there was no chance of me ordering those shoes from any other website! So thank you to Zappos.com and that customer service representative, whoever he is, for such stellar customer service! Keep up the great work!
Sincerely,
Amanda L. | | ~ Amanda L., November 17 2009
