This boot was really comfortable, but was actually too wide for my wide calves. The leather looks cheap, though. I'm returning the boot because I think I can find something better looking even with my calves.

Finally! I have found a tall boot that fits my calves! I have literally been looking for years to find a boot to fit my calves and this is the first pair I have found. It's difficult to find size 6 with wide calves, but with this shoe the 6M worked. My calves measure a little above 16" so it's a tight squeeze, but once they're worn a while, they should be fine. It looks kind of baggy around the ankle, though, which is the only part I don't like. It's a comfortable heel height, though. Also, I placed the order on a Friday and the shoes arrived Tuesday. Excellent service from Zappos!

So far so good. Today is the 1st day i\'ve worn these boots. I was really glad they fit over my calves, but the are a little loose around the top. Nothing I can\'t live with. I put some inserts in them, just because I usually need some cushion under my feet. I wish the ankles didn\'t start to slouch already, but I guess that\'s just part of it. So far lots of positive comments. I think these are a good buy if you have trouble finding boots to fit over runners calves.

I got my boots today. I have a 16" calf at the widest point and these boots fit me well, just a small amount of extra room. The styling is classy and the heel isn't too high, still comfortable.

I think that Zappos is great. It was my first time ordering, and I found it to be very easy. Love my new boots; they are everything I had hoped they would be, and you can't beat the free shipping.

I was so excited to find affordable wide calf boots. They are very comfortable and fairly stylish. I can't be picky since these are the first pair I've ever had that were fairly nice. I've worn them twice and I probably could have gone with 16.5" vs 17" since leather stretches and there is a little give at the top. But overall I'm very pleased.

I have always had naturally wide feet and calves and it was always a challenge for me to find boots that fit. However, after I gained weight it became impossible for me to fit into any boot. I honestly thought that I would have to resign from wearing stylish boots until I lost the weight. Now after over 2 years I can finally wear boots. The boots are very stylish and comfortable. They run a little big, but I prefer wearing my boots that way. I bought them in black and brown. And with the excellent customer service from Zappos, I have no complaints.

Runs a bit large - I have been looking for boots like these for more than a year. Having wide calves can be a challenge. So when I saw these I made sure to cover all my bases because you never really know what size will fit, and my feet can be picky. I normally wear a 10.5 (really 11, no one makes a 10.5) so I ordered a 10M, 10W, 11M, and 11W. The 10M fit the best! The only complaint I have is that they gape a bit at the top, but I can live with that to end my quest for point, small-heeled tall black boots.

I have wide calves and I have been on a search for a boot for over a year. When I found these boots I was ecstatic! I read all of the reviews and based my order on them. Since I normally order shoes in a wide width I decided against it based on the fact a few people had problems with the leg of the boot being too wide. I also ended up buying a half-size too large. Once I got the boot in my perfect size I have to say…These boots are so comfortable! Occasionally, I need to run errands during my lunch hour and I can walk comfortably around town and down several blocks without my feet hurting. Love this boot!

I wanted them to be perfect!
These were just too wide for my calves but perfect in every other way. I loved the skinny heel and pointy toe and the leather was very soft BUT the calf was just too wide. Found another pair by Naturalizer that fit my wide calves much better. They're not as pretty as these though!

Huge impact on my winter wardrobe -
I have wide feet and wide calves. I thought I was doomed to wear less than attractive boots and shoes. Finally, a boot that let me have attitude all day long! I put a pad inside the boot to cushion the ball--other than that, loved them. Had to have the heel taps replaced pretty quickly--but that was $12 well-spent. I have them in brown and black. The length and width were true to size.

These boots are really pretty; you would never look at them and know they are not real leather. I was shocked at how pretty they are. I love the toe; it is pointed but boxed at the end, very nice. However, and it is probably the shape of my legs, they fit oddly. My legs are narrow at the ankle and under the knee compared to the rest of my calf. My calves are very big, but actually have a very curvy shape. But, being narrow at the ankle, these are quite baggy at my ankle. And, being narrow below the knee, the boots "stick" to my curvy calf making the top of the boot have a lot of gaping, and it looks odd. I do love the height of the boot, I am 5'4" and they hit right below the knee. The heel is also a great height, and the boots are comfortable to have on. I will have to put them on a few more times, but because of the odd fit, I will probably be returning them, which makes me sad because they are gorgeous boots.

I actually returned the boots because of the calf width (a first for me.) However, they were beautiful. Soft leather, classic and classy. Regret having had to return them.

I had tried on at least 20 boots in stores and only one could zip over my calves (but were too short), so I was very excited to find these. The synthetic leather looked and felt great. Loved the heel height (most of what I found in stores were too high). Unfortunately, I found the circumference too wide. It measured a bit over 16 inches (for a size 7.5) whereas the description states 15" for a 6.5. They were also a little saggy around the ankles. They're good for tucking in jeans, but I wanted them to fit sleekly over just pantyhose, so they were a no-go for me.

Wide width foot makes calf way too big -
I wanted to find a wide-width boot with wide calves. When I tried these on, the foot fit fine, but the calf was way too big. I wish they had widened the foot without widening the calf.

I have purchased 6 pairs of "wide calf" boots this year, and only one pair has fit....until now. I am absolutely in love with these boots. They are simple, fashionable, and well priced. I didn't expect them to fit when I bought them, but they fit like a glove. I'm 5'2", and not a big girl, but my calves are huge. I usually wear a size 8, but the 7 1/2 fits fine (and black size 8 was not available at the time, however, another customer reported buying a half size smaller as well). The pointed toe did not crush my feet as I thought it would, and they are more comfortable than I expected. My search for a high heeled boot is finally over.

Finally! Boots that fit and are comfortable! I ordered these boots last week and got them yesterday. LOVE THEM! I got lots of compliments and they were comfortable. I have them in black and brown. I wear a size 10 shoe and got a size 10 boot. It fit perfectly.

I ordered these two days ago, and I am already wearing them. Got free overnight shipping (Zappos is the best!). These are far better than I could have imagined. I highly recommend them to anyone that cannot fit into "normal" knee length boots from a store. They look great. I am 5'2'' and I have no problem with these. They are very comfortable, and they look great. There is a very small gap on the top when they are on and zipped up, but the rest of the boot fits and looks great. If this helps anyone, I normally wear a size 7 adidas sneakers, and the 6.5 of this boot is perfect for me.

Awesome boot! Wide calf but not super duper wide. Doesn't slouch or anything like that and it's not all baggy around the ankles like some wide-calf boots tend to be. Color is gorgeous. Heel height is perfect. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase. And Zappos, you guys are fantastic as usual.

These would have been the PERFECT boots, exactly what I was looking for, wider calf, low heel, and when I put them on they truly do fit like a glove, and were very comfy. However, I had an issue with the top opening of the boot, there was a HUGE gap and looked very awkward if worn with jeans or alone because they stuck out on the side, even though they fit my calves perfectly. Maybe it's just me, I'm only 5'2", so maybe taller girls will fit just fine. These were not too tall though, so I don't know. I was very upset, because I thought I finally found the perfect boots, but unfortunately I had to return them. *still searching...*

MY FAVORITE BOOTS -
Between genetics and skiing, my wide feet and calves were no match for any boot. I took a chance on these, thinking they would wind up falling down like very other poorly fitting boot. Instead, they fit like a glove. I LOVE them. For the first time I have a pair of tall boots that my husband finds absolutely sexy. The heel is low enough to make for a comfortable day at work, yet high enough to create a really nice leg line. I am 5'9" and the boots are definitely adequately tall enough on the leg. Beggars can't be choosers, so I won't beg for a custom tall boot just yet. I love these. The perfect "plus size" boot.

Just What I Was Looking For!
Was looking for a boot that was a little wider in the calf, but not too wide - this boot fit the bill at 16 inches (some wider calf boots are 17" or 18" - this one was still abt. 1/2" wide for me but that doesn't detract from the look of it). The heel height is perfect (not too high - not too low) - wore the boots for hours the first time I put them on and never experienced any discomfort - I was surprised at how comfortable they are - no 'breaking in' was required. I am more than pleased with my purchase.

A Great Stylish Boot!
I am very pleased with this purchase. The toe was a little bit more pointed than I was expecting/prefer, but other than that these boots are fabulous! These boots will go with many different looks, and I'm looking forward to using them this fall/winter.

These fit my calves!
I first ordered Fitzwell Lydia and they were way too narrow, but this boot is perfect. I was hoping they would be a little softer, but overall I am very pleased with the fit and comfort! Thanks again Zappos!!!
