Excellent! They actually run a little small; normally I wear a 7.5 W, but ordered this in an 8. There is now a little bit of room, but it accommodates the fluffier winter and fall socks. The soft inside of the boot adds a little extra warmth without making my feet feel hot during the day. I have athletic calves, but wear a size 8 pant, so it was hard to find boots that weren't too small in the circumference, and when I tried most 'extra wide' boots they were far too big around and looked like I was wearing big sister's shoes. If you have a 16" circumference these will be just right. The black goes with everything and the buckles add that little extra interest. So far I've gotten compliments every time I've worn them. I am a teacher, and they are more than comfortable enough to wear for ten hours at a go. The only thing I would say is that the middle buckle constantly flips up when I cross my legs, and the leather in the buckle is already beginning to flip up due to this. However, that's a pretty minor complaint in a boot I really like wearing. Zappos was great as usual, returning boot after boot until I found the right one. Nowhere else could I have found my perfect-match boot.

I bought these primarily for the look, but wear them all the time for the fit. I have wide feet and wide muscular calves, and good fitting boots are very hard to find. These fit like a glove, like they were made for me. I am very pleased with these. There are a couple things I would have liked to have in these boots: some cushioning in the foot bed and a heel that doesn\'t make a clicking clomping sound when I walk. Other than that, these are great!

Loved them, but sent them back. I bought these in brown and loved them, but I had to return them. I wear a size 9 so I got my normal size. The calf wasn't big enough for me. If only it had a little give to it, it would have been perfect. I'm sad that I sent them back, but I don't think a size bigger would have helped. I think for being wide, it was pretty narrow.

Not as good in person. Leather is cheap, buckles too far back accentuating thickness. They did fit my athletic calves, though! Alas, I will return them and keep looking.

Almost but not quite right -
This is one of the nicest pairs of wide calf boots I have found. Unfortunately, the shoe portion was not wide enough for my feet! If it had been available in a WW width, it would have been just fine for me. It is true to size in length and the calf is generous. Also, it is a very good quality boot. I was sorry to have to return them.

I’ve grown up with muscular calves my entire life. Finding knee high boots has been a pain in butt!!! When searching Zappos, I finally came across a selection of boots made for larger calves. I literally squealed in glee. After ordering, taking the boots out of the box, I put the boot on, zipped it up, and did a happy dance. For once in my life a boot zipped up without having to pull the boot closed, and zip it. For comfort these boots are great. They fit like a glove... I am very excited to rock them with some cute outfits... I am now buying clothes to go with my boots! Buy them! (I might just get them in black, too!)

I've been looking for boots like this for many months. First, I have 16” calves because I practice a lot of sports. Second, it looks like a European boot, with such a style - no heel, be able to use it with jeans inside. Extremely comfortable and the inside is awesome! Size is perfect. I am 8 1/2 and I ordered a 9 only because I like using cotton socks with it. Otherwise, you need to order your exact size! High quality brand by the way... Great Purchase!!!

Ok, I took the chance with the velcro (with my husband’s advice) and... I am pressing them really hard every once in a while. Constantly aware of which shoes I am wearing. But they look fabulous!

Perfect w/ leggings or over skinny jeans!
I am petite (5'0, 105 lbs) but have athletic, oversized calves -- which make it IMPOSSIBLE to find boots that fit. Most boots either do not fit my calves, or are very snug, making my legs appear large. These boots however fit perfectly. There is even some space in the calf area, which gives the illusion that I have a slimmer leg. They run a little big size-wise, I went a half size smaller, but you can afford to go a whole size. Overall, very comfortable. Not a huge fan of the buckles, but I'm very pleased overall. Works perfect as a casual day time look over leggings or jeans. Fitzwell needs to make a style with a wedge now so I can wear them on weekend nights out!

This boot does, indeed, deliver. It has a lot of style and is quite sexy. The boot is for larger calves and does allow me to wear my pants tucked in...But doesn't scream out "big legs here" by any means. The leather is very soft and they are immediately comfortable. I had to order a 1/2 size up to get the color I wanted...but, in truth, they tend to run slightly large. I often take a 7 1/2, but usually am an 8 in boots. The 7 1/2's definitely fit...but the 8's will do with a bit of a sock. My only wish would have been for these boots to have been higher. They hit you short in the calf and I think it compromises the look slightly. Not enough to change my general satisfaction...but if they had been higher, I would be crazy happy and would have every color available.

What a great boot. I have very large calves, 16 1/2, so it's quite difficult to find boots that are stylish, comfortable and fit my calves. These boots are exactly what I hoped they would be and I highly recommend them. In addition the customer service that I received was amazing. I ordered them in the morning and they were delivered to my home the very next day at no additional cost.

Great everyday boot -
These boots are very comfortable and stylish. The only complaint I have is that the toe is not really pointed or square so looks a little awkward under wide leg pants.

A lovely boot.
These are very comfortable right out of the box. Nice soft leather. The calf measurement was right on the mark. They are a little narrower than I expected, but they still fit fine. I ordered a 9W since my feet are unusually wide. Zappos.com has excellent service, they arrived so fast!

Pleasantly surprised -
The first wearing they were a bit snug in the toe box area (I have bunions on both feet) but the more I wore them around the looser they got. I have been able to wear them for many hours with no discomfort. I was very pleasantly surprised. It has been the first boot that I have been able to wear with my 16 inch calf and they are comfortable.

I love this boot and get a lot of compliments on it. The only problem I experience is heel pain on the bottom of my foot if I wear them more than 5 hrs straight.

This boot is amazingly comfortable. The first time I wore them walking in New York City for over 3 hours and my feet couldn't be happier. The gel insole was great. I wasn't crazy for the front style of the boot with the rounded toe; however, it was worth the buy.

Nice looking boots perfect width -
I really like these boots but wish I had gotten them a half size smaller. The narrow toe broken in very quickly so now they are a too long and slosh around a lot. An insole helped the fit a bit and the uncomfortable heel. The fit of the calf is perfect and even tapers down to a normal ankle width which most wide calves don't. Overall these are great looking boots just wish I got them a bit smaller.

I just received my Uggs and I love them. First of all Zappos is amazing. They have great customer service and they shipped three pairs of Uggs in a week and I ordered them on all different days. I am a size 6 women and was not sure what I would be in kids so I ordered a 6 kids and they were too big i then ordered a 5 kids and was still too big and the size 4 kids were perfect. They are very comfortable and warm.

Incredibly comfortable boots!!!
These are possibly the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. I wear a 9W and these boots are perfectly sized - lots of toe room, no pinching anywhere. I wore them all day, right out of the box, and they were comfortable the entire time. And the wide calf was perfect for my 16" calves.

My favorite boots -
These boots fit so well. They are lined and roomy enough for bigger legs. They don't slip or skid when walking. They look great with skinny jeans and a feminine blouse. They don't need to be broken in at all. My feet were warm and comfortable the first day I wore them. They are my absolute favorite boots.

I hear they work 24/7 and love every minute of it; but that some have to take time off at Xmas to head for the Pole! Oh well I'm sure you get subs. Thank all of them for me!
