The button came off of both shoes eventually. I absolutely LOVED these shoes, so I was really bummed. I purchased them directly from Patagonia, and actually sent them back along with the buttons for service repair. They contacted me to let me know they were unable to fix the shoes and the style has been discontinued. I\'m a little perplexed why they are still being offered through Zappos though. I would totally get these again, but I just know that button is going to come off at some point ... so for that, I\'m going to pass. Other than that, the shoes were super comfortable and really cute. I wore them everyday! And... by the way ... after having them for almost a year ... Patagonia is going to give me a full refund. Yay!

The Poppy is an extremely comfortable shoe. The strap is in a odd place and a little high on the foot. Once the strap stretches a little the shoe slides easily on and off. If you wear socks, they need to be thin (unless you can get the strap to button). The soles are very comfortable. I stand a fair amount of my day at work and my feet don't hurt in these shoes. The traction is also excellent and I love the honeycomb pattern on the bottom of the shoe.

I purchased a half size larger in the Poppy which is perfect for accommodating my orthotics. These shoes are very comfortable and sturdy and look good with skirts and pants! The toe box is comfortable with lots of wiggle room. The shoe is great for someone looking for comfort and who does a lot of walking. I have no complaints about the shoe and wear them at least 15 hours a day! Choosing a product from an environmentally-responsible company was important to me. I just wish Patagonia would make their products in the US rather than overseas!

Great Shoes -
I bought these shoes to wear when I teach. I figured they'd be comfortable but not necessarily something that I would wear on the weekends. I was wrong. They are so versatile; I can wear them any time. I bought the Mud color which is a great neutral, earth tone. I did have to break them in and I do have to put padded inserts in them for more comfort, but I would seriously consider buying another pair of these shoes in a different color one day.

No socks = Blisters!
I was super excited to get these (the next day!), and at first they were very comfortable. Like an idiot, I wore them all day with no socks and got huge blisters on my pinkie toes. I think they are really cool shoes, and I like them a lot. Just don't forget socks until they are broken in!!!

Comfortable but funny looking...and a button???
This shoe was very comfortable but it looked so strange on my foot. The heel sits up high and the toe is very low. Also, it closes with a button. I don't see that lasting very long!

Cute and versatile -
Great shoe--cute and good for wear with skirts to shorts. Even looked petite in size 12. Accommodated my orthotics. Unfortunately what I really need is size 11 1/2 so sadly had to return them.

Great shoe, but...
This shoe would have 5 stars across the board, if it weren't for one flaw - the Patagonia logo on the bottom of the shoe is not stamped into the outsole, but attached separately, allowing water to leak into the bottom of the shoe. These shoes are not advertised as waterproof, but one would think walking through wet leaves would not result in a wet spot in the middle of your foot once your shoes come off! Not a huge deal, shoe goo can seal it, but a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, these shoes are comfortable, great to walk around all day in, and they look good with all sorts of outfits. Patagonia should fix the glitch on the bottom of the shoe and they'd be perfect.

I LOVE these shoes!!!
Although they accommodate prosthetics, they are so comfortable that I do not need my prosthetics. I get SO many compliments on their appearance. They are really, really nice looking. I love them.

Great shoes!
I received my Poppy shoes two months ago. At first, I had a bit of trouble getting used to the way that the button hit the top of my foot, but now I don't even notice. I usually wear them without socks, and they do not retain an odor. I'm very happy with these shoes.

Love these shoes!!
I looked for a couple of months for a shoe that was casual enough to wear with jeans, yet dressy enough to wear to work, and I found it in these shoes. What's more is they are eco-friendly! I must say when I first got them, I was a little bit worried because the right shoe seemed a little bit tighter than the left and I never have had this problem before and the leather on the heel area was a bit stiff. I wore them a couple of days to work and the leather has totally softened up and molded to my foot. The arch support worried me too because it felt like there wasn't any, but as I wear the shoes they start to mold to my foot and support more and more which is why I marked them as "Moderate Arch Support". Had I done this review when I first bought them, I would have said "No Arch Support". I would highly recommend these shoes.

Comfy, but these did not run small for me. I normally wear an 8 1/2, so I ordered a 9 in these, based on the other review, but they are at least true to size. These are clearly meant to be worn with bare feet or nylons, and thus I need them to fit more snugly. Unfortunately I'll have to return these and order the 8 1/2. They are very comfortable though! And they'd be great if you have wide feet or bunions, as the toe box is quite roomy.

Love the look and feel of these shoes, but they run small! I am a true size 8 and I have to get a 9 in these. I like the rich leather that is used both for the outside as well as the liner. The button is fairly hard to undo, but I guess as the leather gets worn over time, that will get better. Overall a high quality, cute everyday shoe.

 | | Wow. I placed an order online in Seattle yesterday at 2pm and this morning before I finished my first cup of coffee a UPS guy was standing in front of me with my shoes. I was going to ask if he had a shoehorn and could put my shoes on, because it was almost like being in a shoe store it was so fast. And best of all, it was free shipping. I feel like leaving you guys a tip or something. But Ill tell you what, 3 other people in my office saw what went down and they were all on Zappos today shopping and I know they told a few friends. So there you go, thanks so much, stay in business, keep doing what youre doing, its the most amazing hard goods e-commerce experience out there. | | ~ Tyler S., October 17 2009
