Poor quality -
I bought this hiking boots believing the hype in advertising. After three months of publicly maintained trail use, the sole on the left boot cracked and separated at the forefoot spring. I went straight to Spira in an effort to get a replacement set of boots, but my complaint was treated with unprofessional skepticism. This is the only pair of shoes I have ever returned. For the cost ($170.00) I feel cheated.

I was in need of new hiking boots and my previous favorites by Merrell had been discontinued. I was skeptical about Spira's claim of "spring support" in these shoes, but have some knee issues and thought I would give them a try. These boots are amazing. The first time I wore them I did an 8 mile hike over very steep and rocky terrain carrying a light pack of about 15 pounds and my feet felt great, not a pinch or a blister! The spring action is not overt, but there does seem to be some magical feeling of support as you walk. These ran small for me; I had to order a half size larger, and they also seem to be narrow in the toe box, which works for me but may not if you have a wider foot. Overall, love these shoes.

 |  | I don't normally use exclamation points in my correspondence, but Zappos.com has taken my breath away with your delivery service. And I don't normally use teen-age expressions, but all I can say is OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! You rock!!!!!!!!!! Last week, I ordered shoes, and received one pair the very next day. The other shoes came the day after that. Sadly, none of them fit, and I had to return them all. Yesterday, I notified you of the return, printed out my FREE return shipping labels, and ordered one style in a different size. Today, I returned the shoes at a UPS store, and by the time I had returned home, my new shoes were on my doorstep! How do you do it? Is it a unique connection in the time/space continuum between your warehouse and Texas? However you do it, I am so impressed, and will tell all my friends about your wonderful, amazing service.
