These are my 3rd pair of the Merrell Barrados. They are light and comfortable - and do have some arch support. I’ve used them exercising, for casual wear and for boating - in all cases they perform well. I’ve also thrown them in the washer for cleaning. Great shoes - and they look good, too. I live in them in the summer.

The MERRELL Barrado is a great shoe! It is terrific for traveling as it is easy to get in and out of at those necessary security checkpoints. Although, it is a little weak on the arch support side, I solved the small problem by inserting a gel arch support. I love the look of the shoe with jeans, sweats, and yes, my dress pants! A definite great buy!

Fabulous shoe - extremely comfortable, I wear mine all day - on my feet most of the day - and don't have sore feet at the end! I have bought a couple of pairs - hope that they don't discontinue them! Zappos rocks as far as service goes!

These shoes are great! I had a pair from over a year ago and decided to get a new color. They are very thin but give a lot of support for walking on pavement, and they're very attractive, too.

The Barrado is a very lightweight and breathable shoe! It looks great with jeans, chinos, and capris. They're much more fashionable and streamlined than running/walking sneakers and are great for standing on your feet all day! Another bonus: no laces! Love the zipper; they really just slip on and off. Would also love them in a navy blue instead of the aqua, but with all of the colors, you're sure to find a color to like! GIVE THEM A TRY! You won't be sorry!

I bought these shoes for traveling by plane on a long flight. They are super comfortable, lightweight, and easy to take off and put back on (this was a great feature for going through security at the airport). I have been wearing them during the day running errands and they are cool and comfy. I also love the 'urban' style. Merrell makes a great shoe!

I just bought two pairs of Merrell Barados, black and silver. The shoes look great, fit great, and are very comfortable. Zappos was prompt with order and delivery.

Going back, unfortunately -
A darling shoe, very lightweight, and well made. But, for me, the fit is so tight that I can't wear even very thin socks with them, and the zipper won't close when I put them on. Definitely not for a high instep. They do have a lean look on your foot, but something about the location of the stitching makes my foot look like it has a bunion (which it does not). Too bad they're going back...I LOVE Merrell shoes. The best brand for the hospital worker. Will stick with the Encore series.

SO cute AND comfy (with my custom orthotics)!
I needed some comfortable shoes for an upcoming trip to Paris that would not broadcast "American Tourist" like my running shoes would. I have had these a month now, and absolutely love them! They will be perfect. I have custom orthotics and because these shoes are a bit generous around the arch, I am actually able to put my orthotics in OVER the existing insoles, which I love because with the thinnish soles of these shoes, I need the cushion of the insoles. (The insoles that come with the shoes remove easily, though, if you would prefer to substitute your orthotics.) The only problem then was that my orthotics squeaked when I walked, which I remedied by putting a little piece of felt under the heel of each orthotic. I usually wear an 11, but had to return them for a 10.5, which is perfect.

These are great shoes for running around town and casual outings. I would not recommend them for extensive walking. For me there is just not enough support. They are sleek, cute and look great with jeans or sweats. After 2 years the zippers still work smoothly. I wear a 10 and they fit perfectly with or without socks.

I'd like a pair of these in every color! I am showing my dog - and these shoes are so comfortable and attractive. Not like some of the ugly shoes you see women wearing when they are in the show ring.

Great shoe!
I fell in love with this shoe the second I put it on. It is extremely comfortable and looks great with just about anything I wear. It has a nice slender look about it which makes it easy to wear with jeans, work-out clothes, or just plain everyday pants. It feels like I'm walking on air! I never felt any discomfort, even after long periods of walking. I plan to buy it in the white color, although I wish the white was JUST white, with no contrast color. They are easy-on, easy-off, although the zipper is just a bit stiff, but I found that I can keep the zipper closed and just slip them on and off, and still have a great fit. The quality of the shoe is excellent, making it easy to clean, and yet retain its black color after wiping clean. I highly recommend this shoe. You will not be sorry! Oh, one more thing. I purchased my regular size, and found it to be just "a pinch" larger, yet still very comfortable. I don't recommend getting a smaller size.

This is a great looking shoe and lightweight too, but it doesn't have a lot of arch support. They are easy to get off and on and I do really like them a lot and would like to have them in other colors!

Great shoe, I am not a big fan of a heavy tennis shoe, sport shoe whatever, these are light weight and easy to get in and out of. I wear a 10M but got the 9 1/2M and they fit better. Good airport shoe, very comfortable wore them all day the first time and no foot discomfort. Have bought them in several other colors.

Nice comfy shoe. I wore them without socks the first time and had blisters on both my little toes. The shoes did not hurt but I suppose I needed socks. They are a little pricey but overall it is a well made shoe. This shoe is a nice alternative to tennis shoes and look good with jeans and capris.

Alas! I wanted something on which to walk long and hard in on hard Manhattan pavements. Elegant as this is, it is not a walking shoe -- not padded enough -- but a run to the store and back...

Black Walking Merrells -
I have purchased four pairs of this particular shoe over the past three years. I normally require a wide shoe, but this particular style is comfortable for me. I love this shoe. It's very light weight and can pass as a casual shoe that doesn't look like an athletic shoe. I'm surprised that I can wear it all day because it won't accommodate my orthotic. I wish this very same shoe came in a black smooth leather without the prominent "M". I have had trouble with unzipping the zippers with the shoe on my foot. I usually have to pull the shoe off and then unzip it. But I still love the shoe.

Merrell Barrado is FABULOUS!
These shoes are so comfy, easy to put on and take off, look much better than similar shoes, have just the right support, and surprisingly enough, they are great workout shoes! I love them.

Although I have not yet worn my new Merrell Barrados, I must say that I do have them in black and they are my favorite shoes. I wear them almost everyday. I wear orthotics and they fit inside comfortably. I want these shoes in all the colors!

Not for high instep -
Great looking fashion athletic, but sadly had to send them back. Although there are elastic panels across the instep, there is still not enough give for a high instep. Fits pretty true to length, maybe a bit small.

I love these shoes! I wanted a light weight shoe for walking and they are perfect. I need a closed toe because the soil here in my new home is almost pure sand and my old faithful sandals would scoop it up at every step. These are as light and comfortable as a sandal and keep the sand out.

Comfort and size can fool you -
This is a comfortable sneaker if you are not doing a lot of walking or running. There is not a lot of support and the sizing on this sneaker can be a little tricky... go the next size up.
