I have worn Merrel hiking boots/shoes since they first came on the market. This is the first pair I have had trouble with. Size is small, not enough room for my big toe. I am returning these shoes.

I really love these shoes. They are very, very comfortable and have great arch support. The shape makes me naturally roll through the foot - heel to toe - when walking, the best way to walk. They keep my feet cool, too, because of the vents. I need for my shoes to have a big box (the part where the toes go.) These allow my toes to wiggle yet hug my feet through the top of the shoe. They are the most comfortable pair of 'tennis' shoes I've ever owned. I own Merrell hiking boots, too, so was not surprised by the quality of these shoes.

I first discovered your company while looking for some shoes I couldn't find in stores. Not only did I find them, but they were a fantastic price! Since then, I've been a very happy customer. Buying shoes online can be tricky (you can't try them on!), but Zappos' return policy makes it very easy.

I'm a nurse and work 12 hour shifts so I need really good supportive footwear. I had been wearing the Siren Sport and loved them, but needed a new pair, so I thought I'd try the Ventilator. I like that they seem a bit more waterproof, but they're toe bed is smaller and have a little bit less arch support than the Siren Sport. However, they're still more comfortable than any other brand of sneaker I've tried. I also have wide feet and they fit! So I'm breaking them in. I think next time I'll buy the Siren Sport again, though.

I am very happy with my recent purchase of the Siren Ventilator. It is built on the Siren sole, so it has a more flexible feel than some of the other Merrell shoes that I have had in the past. Like most Merrell\'s I find that it does not have arch support for my very high arched feet; however, I just wear it for shopping and running errands so this does not pose any problems. I find that the Ventilator fits me better than the Sport in the Merrell Line. I wear a size 7 in a dress shoe and I always order 7 1/2 in an athletic shoe. I ordered the Ventilator in a 7 1/2 and it fits well with a mid-weight sock.

I absolutely love my sneakers; they are comfortable and the support is the best. This is the second pair and there is nothing like them. I purchased Merrell for my husband as well. Their shoes are lightweight, which is important as my husband is on his feet at least 10 hours a day and he loves them.

Great active shoe for hot weather. I\'m a hobbyist outdoor photographer and for full days in the field, comfortable, supportive shoes are essential but hiking boots are just too much sometimes. I alternated these with a Keen sandal (the Whisper) for an entire week on hilly cobblestone streets in central Mexico. A decent fit for my freakishly narrow heels. (The Siren Sport was a big failure for me.) Nicely supportive for my flat feet. Those with high arches may want to look elsewhere since this isn\'t as firm as many other Merrells. Soles are very grippy, even on those wet cobblestones. A bit more cushioning would make it perfect. I sized up a full size to accommodate foot swelling and socks.

The shoe itself was comfortable. However, when I wear them, I end up with terribly sore knees! I am 58, on my feet a lot, and thought they would be supportive for daily wear. Not so. I have tried several times to wear them for extended periods, and absolutely can't take the knee discomfort. Not sure if the problem is the hard insole or just the way they make me stand in them. I'm being honest. Have them for sale in local resale shop.

I have horrible hurting feet from osteoarthritis, and plantar faciitis and bone spurs. I've added my orthotics and that helps as well. Good solid shoes. Just right.

Merrell sneakers are the only sneakers I have ever purchased that I can put right on and walk 5 miles with no pain or blisters. This style is so light weight it is liking walking bare footed. Love them.

This is the first pair of athletic shoes I have bought that are true to size. They do not make 11-1/2 and since I wear an 11, I usually have to buy a 12, which is too big. Not only are they a perfect fit, they are pretty cute, very comfortable, and make my feet look smaller. I have gotten many compliments on the color and style. I will forever look for Merrells when purchasing an athletic shoe.

Love these right out of the box. I have purchased about ten pair of Merrells. The Siren Ventilator fits better than the Siren Sport in my opinion. I work in healthcare and wear them every day for 10 hours. Great support!

After reading several reviews of the Merrell Siren Ventilator, I was torn about buying my actual shoe size or a half size larger. Here's the bottom line: if you have a very thin and narrow foot like me, buy your normal size. If your foot is a B width or wider, buy a half size up. They are a very comfortable shoe with no break in time needed. I love them!

Another awesome Merrell hiker - I cannot have enough Merrell shoes - they have great arch support, offer solid traction, and are very comfortable (even on longer hikes). These are another great pair - and cute too.

I love these shoes. I am a nurse and wear them to work, workout, and go walking. The provide support and comfort. I usually wear a size 9 running/walking shoe (Asics) and got these in a 8.5 and they fit perfect.

Buying these great shoes was my first Zappos experience. Love the shoes; lightweight and very comfortable. I would have preferred waterproof, but ended up spraying them with a waterproofing agent. Was very happy with Zappos: quick delivery and return (I ordered a couple of different styles but only kept these).

I will be buying another pair of these shoes! I have a couple pair of Siren Songs and I have really loved them, but once I put these Ventilators on I will be calling them my favorite for all time. They fit true to size for me and are lightweight for working out. I also wear them to Physical Therapy. My PT said they are great for my foot problem. I find myself wearing them to run around all day and the added bonus of making my feet look smaller is wonderful! Love these Merrells. Thanks Zappos for excellent customer service!

I typically wear a 7 - 7.5, and bought these in a 7.5, which fit great! Like others have said, they started out as hiking shoes, but quickly gravitated to everyday use. They\'re very comfortable and fit my slightly wide foot very well.

I love my Merrell\'s. This is my second pair of the Siren Ventilator. I typically wear a 9 or 9.5. I ordered a 9.5 and they fit great! At first I only wore them hiking or camping, but found myself reaching for them for everyday use - they are that comfortable, thus the reason I wanted to have another pair. Another plus for us women who have big feet is that the shoe actually makes my foot look smaller, but has plenty of room for your toes. I just ordered another pair of Merrell leather walking shoes yesterday, and got them today. I will shop Zappos for all my shoes because I don\'t have to worry about returns. I have had significant problems for the last few years; plantar fascitis, knee pain, ankle pain, etc. After going the orthotic route, which wasn\'t doing much good, I tried to find shoes that would help. Shoe stores and Zappo\'s Comfort Support suggested RUNNING SHOES!!!!! After a couple of attempts at this, I realized that at the end of each day, I put on a pair of Merrill\'s sandles (old Palmettos), and didn\'t have pain. So I decided to try their walkers. I bought the ventilators, as they seem to be wider than the other sirens, and originally thought I had made a mistake. These take a while to break in. I am glad I continued wearing them, because, currently, I am not experiencing knee or ankle pain. I am buying another pair. I think Zappo\'s is a great site; however, everyone needs to be their own advocate.

I love the style of the shoes! However, this pair ran short on length, but felt true to width. These were actually ordered by my sister who normally wears a 10, but after wearing them for a short time, she noticed that her toe was hitting the end of the shoe. I kept the 10 and she ordered the 10.5 which fit her much better. This is my second pair and I love them both, but the pair I bought several years ago had a better fit to my feet! I would recommend them for a casual walking shoe.

I have worn several styles of Merrell shoes for years whenever I want to walk a lot in cities. By the end of the day, I may be tired, but my feet are still in great shape. I wear this particular style for exercise, even the treadmill. They fit securely, but have lots of room in the toe box vertically. The added bonus is that they make your feet look small, very unusual for a shoe this style. They are lightweight, too.

I have had lower back problems for nearly a year, and finally sought help through physical therapy--Merrells are the only shoes that have helped in the healing process. I own several pairs of Merrell sandals, and 3 pairs of the Merrell Siren Ventilator (2 of which were purchased from Zappos). I needed to exchange a pair, and received the replacement pair overnight with no extra charge. You can\'t beat the price, and Zappos\' customer service is extraordinary. I love Zappos and I love Merrells!! \r\n

I only placed my order yesterday and yet today I get home from work and SURPRISE! My boots are here! Free shipping, fast shipping, giant selection...what else can a customer ask for? Customer service in general is lacking when dealing with other retailers but Zappos rules!
