Very cute and popular with 2-year-old -
I usually only pay about ten dollars for my son's slippers, but I sprung for these because they were Stride Rite, had construction equipment, and had the flashing lights. My son loves them and they seem much more substantial than his cheaper slippers. The only issue is that they run small, a surprise to because usually Stride Rite runs very true to size. He presently wears a size 8 1/2 or at maximum size 9 in Stride Rite, and we could just barely get his foot into a pair of these at size "9/10." Don't know if this is because they get stretched out over time or because S.R. contracted out the manufacture, but it was a surprise. He's bound to be out of them in about 2 months unless they do stretch a lot. But we like them very well and I ordered the next larger size for the inevitable day (soon) when he moves to the next size.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Frankly, I love Stride Rite. Willitz is also good.

Pure DELIGHT!
My grandson LOVES his new slippers! Construction vehicles + flashing lights = a little boy's dream. They are easy to put on and take off, they are warm and cozy, and he is eager to wear them...Mommy is delighted with them, too. I highly recommend these well-made, thoughtfully designed slippers.

 | | Zappos rocks, you so made my nine year old sons day. We went looking for new DC shoes last Sunday and spent 3 hours only to find out that his shoe size was 6.5 right between boys and men's. The stores had no selection in either. We were told by one salesperson that most boys skip that size so they don't carry many. He was very disappointed, I suggested ordering from you guys that night and he didn't want to wait for shipping. I told him Zappos was quick, but he wanted to try stores again, so we did on Tuesday evening and came home empty handed again. We got online, ordered a pair he liked (there were so many to chose from in the size we needed) at 9:30 that night. Of course he was all about when would they be here, again I told him how quick you are at shipping and that probably Thursday at the latest Friday. He came home from school on Wednesday and they were on the front porch. He was so happy!!! Loved the shoes and can't wait to order another pair. I have told other people how fast they got here and no one believes that is even possible. I don't know how you do it, but thanks so much. You're the best. I know when youre a kid you don't want to wait for new shoes, now my son knows you don't have to. Nancy N. | | ~ Nancy N., September 23 2009
