I have worn Birkenstocks for almost 20 years and have always purchased them by the European size, 36 Narrow, for my size 6 feet. These are the first soft-bed Birkies I’ve had and found them to run small (or actually true to the size on the chart) so I had to return them for 37 Regular which fit perfectly with socks. They are cute and comfortable – I’m already looking forward to wearing them everywhere this winter! As always, Zappos’ service was great for the shipping and return processes.

Comfort and style -
This is the first Birkenstock shoe other than sandals that I have bought, frankly because I did not like the chunky look. This shoe looks good with dress slacks and with jeans and, most of all, is COMFORTABLE. I no longer buy shoes just because they are cute or match my clothing. I bought this in the black and the brown. I wish Birkenstock would make it in a cream or white wool as well.
