Wonderful shoes!
I love these shoes! I love the style--sort of bowling shoe-ish, and they're extremely comfortable. The back edge on one shoe rubbed a little the first time I wore them, which made a sore spot, but after that no problems.
The only reason I don't give them five stars overall is because they feel just a stitch too big/wide, which I think is because they're a unisex style and I've got female feet. They're also kind of heavy feeling when walking fast, but I think that's just Docs.

LOVE THEM, LOVE THEM, LOVE THEM -
My new favorite shoes in the world! Did not need to be broken in, were great right out of the box. I walk 2+ miles to and from work each day, and these are EXACTLY the kind of shoes I needed. Also, they look great with everything--jeans, dressier pants, etc.Can't recommend them more highly.

Doc martens & Zappos service -
The doc martens are great right out of the box. A new martens buyer and new to Zappos. I couldn't be happier with either. My shoes were perfect and the service from Zappos was just unexpected. You have a customer for life. In fact I just ordered another pair of shoes today. Shop Zappos, you will be amazed at the service.

Extremely Comfortable -
This is a great pair of shoes. They look great and feel great. No break in is necessary because they feel quite good from the moment you slip them on. The sole is soft and shock absorbing. Much more cushion than a typical shoe. The overall quality seems very good and these shoes are worth the price. I do not have a lot of experience with Doc Martens. Apparently some are made in England. These are made elsewhere. I wish Zappos would list the country of origin for all their shoes. Nevertheless, the shoes are fantastic and this might just be my new favorite brand of shoes. One thing of note: the leather has a much more "distressed" look than what appears in the photo. These shoes still look great, just different than they appear. If you go to the Doc Martens website, you can get a better idea of what they really look like. Does Zappos alter their photos? I've had similar experiences with other shoes purchased here...Nevertheless, I' am very pleased with Zappos service. I ordered on Friday and received the shoes on Monday with free shipping! Ordering could not have been any easier. Overall, I would highly recommend Zappos and Doc Martens.

 |  | I just want to say...I made the order on Saturday night, and then received a call from your customer service rep. on Sunday saying the purse would be shipped with 1 business day shipping. I received the bag this morning at 9am!!! On top of all the excellent customer service and fast shipping, the bag is a treasure! The same purse is selling for much more at the mall. I've just become a fan of your website! I will definitely come back again for future purchases. Thank you so much! You guys are the best!
