I just got these shoes and have some initial thoughts. Pros: They are lightweight. Good quality (removable) insole. Very comfortable. Decent enough looking to wear to the office. Fold down heel will make them good for packing in the suitcase and there isn't a noticable lack of support without having a proper heel cup built in. Good sole for light-medium terrain. The sizing was accurate. The venting around the toe. Cons: The toe is a bit boxy so although they fit me properly only 2/3 of the toe room is occupied. You give up some stiffness in the shank being lightweight, they aren't completely twisty, but couldn't stand up to anything more than light-medium terrain which is ok for me. The no lace system with squeeze clamps seem silly and I think I'll get some proper laces. What I wanted was a comfortable and lightweight pair of walking shoes that aren't jazzed up like a billboard so I could wear them to the office and durable enough to wear out on site or to do serious city walking. I think I got what I wanted, but no more except for how they take up less room in the suitcase. I rate them 4 stars meaning that they are very good for my purposes. I typically buy Garmont (excellent) or Merrell (very good - excellent) but couldn't find any the day I ordered that were both lightweight and not flashy in appearance. I wish that the shoe companies didn't change their offerings every year.

Comfortable as all get out -
Very comfortable shoe with decent arch support and a good look. The non-tie pull-string laces may make it difficult to attain and retain a very tight fit if that's what you're into. In case you didn't notice in the picture, the gray at the bottom is more of a silver.

Took some time to get used to them, love them now.
I bought this shoe and 2 pairs of Keens and this was my least favorite in appearance, and they felt like they had a really high arch at first. After wearing them around for a couple of afternoons I fell in love with them. They are super comfortable and great for traveling with the fold down heel.

 | | Hi there Zappos, I just got my tracking number for a jacket I ordered yesterday, went to the UPS website and saw that it was out for delivery. After placing dozens of orders through Zappos, processing a few returns, and contacting customer service by phone a few times, one would think that my overwhelming love of you guys would wear off. But, it hasn't; it only gets more intense with every positive experience (which has been each and every Zappos experience I've had). Anyway, I think you should have a testimonial submission function on your site I would probably fill one out after every order. Thanks so much for having such solid, customer-forward practices, for making things so easy, and for having the best customer service on or off the internet. | | ~ Mimi G., October 19 2009
