Bizarre looking, but fabulously comfortable! I put them on immediately and didn’t take them off all evening and I can’t normally tolerate having my feet "enclosed" in the summer. They’re aptly named as they truly are primarily for walking. The rocker sole gives you a spring in your step and I definitely felt the workout my glutes got the next day. Don’t try to stand stationary for long periods of time though - I almost tipped over backwards while doing so! I highly recommend the MBT M.Walk if you are an avid walker.

I've had three pairs of MBT and I love this brand, and I wasn't disappointed with the MBT M.Walk. It has a more tapered toe box and a slimmer look to it, but it is as comfortable as my other MBT's. I ordered the same size shoe as my other MBT's and they're fine, although other people might think about ordering a half size larger than they normally would for comfort.

I love MBTs! These are my fourth pair of MBTs and my second pair of M.Walks. I Like the M.Walk best because it is the coolest looking one and is so comfortable. I have a bad back and knee and these are the only shoe I wear to do my walking workout (or any other workout for that matter). I even wore them for physical therapy and they helped with that! These saved me on a recent trip to London, we walked all over the city, and I suffered very little because of my M.Walks. My feet never hurt either! My only wish would be that they could make a cooler looking shoe and sandal. I wear an 8.5-9 depending on the shoe and I buy a 43 1/3 in these. Thanks Zappos for the fantastic service!

If you are wondering whether these shoes are worth the price, the answer is YES. In fact, now that I have these, the only problem is that I don't want to wear other shoes. However, I have just ordered MBTs in other styles. Just as a note about sizing, if you have wide feet/bunions and are unsure about sizing, you might go with a 1/2 size larger. These are made for medium-width feet, and if your feet need a generous width at the front they might be tight.

This was the first pair of MBT shoes that I purchased (unfortunately I didn't know about Zappos and their great service at the time). I am now a devoted MBT shoe wearer & Zappos customer. I have since purchased several pairs of MBTs from Zappos. I normally wear a size 7M, but I had to go up a half size in the M.Walk (as I have had to do in most pairs that I have purchased. The sizing is very individualized. I have low back and hip pain, and the MBTs have helped tremendously. I know they are more expensive than most of us are used to paying, but they are so worth it. I would suggest MBT reaccess the way they make their sandals, though. I have never been able to find one that fits comfortably.

These were my first pair of MBTs, and I love them. Took about two weeks of wearing several hours a day and working up to all day, to get the hang of walking easily and exercising the hamstrings, etc. My feet feel like they are getting a massage! I have a bunion, a wide forefoot, and narrow heel, and generally need arch supports. Sized up 1/2 size over dress shoes, they fit the same as my running shoes, but require thinner socks with same size, fit perfectly now. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone with foot, back, leg problems, etc, and anyone who is on their feet a lot. They are not good for unstable ground like hiking or for gym work-outs, but they are fabulous for walking and standing, especially on hard surfaces. After a few weeks, I no longer had back, knee, or foot pain as a result of wearing these for a part or all of every day. Worth the price!

I love my MBT's! Once adjusting your mind as to the correct way of walking in them they're wonderful. Losing the weight while walking in very comfortable shoes is just the best. I'll probably buy another pair in the near future because Zappos makes it very easy.

These shoes are function over form. I'm fine with that and I actually think they are cute in a funky way. They do take quite awhile to break in though so don't do on any long walks straight away or you will have serious blisters. Also, order a full size larger than you usually wear.

Comfy but hard to figure out sizing -
I love my MBTs, but it took me 3 pairs to get the right size. They definitely work my hips and glutes in a great way- I've been walking 5 miles a day and am seeing amazing results. They take some getting used to, but I definitely love them. It's just the sizing that is a problem- they run a full size smaller than my normal size!

This is THE walking shoe of the new millennium. Comfort and style and a work out just by the motion of putting one foot in front of the other. Excellent shoe.

MBT' s are the greatest!
I recently developed plantar fasciitis. I was very concerned because I wasn't able to exercise. I found these shoes and it not only has relieved my pain, but my foot is healing. I have replaced ALL of my shoes with MBT's and they are all I want to wear. They are FABULOUS!

Comfortable and Unusual -
I really like these shoes! I am on my feet all day and they don’t bother me at all. They look a little strange and take some getting used to but overall they are great. I followed the advice of fellow reviewers and ordered a half size larger than normal. They fit perfectly!

I've worn and loved my MBTs for a year, and everywhere I go, strangers stop and ask where I found such weird shoes. I smile; I educate. Yes, they're goofy-lookin'. Yes, they're heavy as lead. And yes, they're expensive... but these shoes are life changing! These shoes are the sort of thing you'd grab if your house were afire! Break out the plastic and buy 'em. In a week or two, after your calves cease shrieking, you'll be so glad.

MBT SIZING -
I was very excited to receive the MBT M.WALK. I had purchased Chapa at a shoe store, picked the same size for the M. Walk. The Walk is probably a half size smaller. They are working OK, but I can only wear them 3 days at a time, so I rotate with my other pair. I will order larger next time, and not wear them out til I am sure they fit.

Love these shoes!
I feel it mostly working in my hips...also in my calves, thighs and butt. I used to have pain in my hips and knees, but not anymore. I use an elliptical machine an hour every day and these shoes keep me movin', pain-free and has improved my posture. Only negative is these shoes are not attractive...but I don't care! I am a size 6, but ordered the 37 - perfect fit. As always, kudos to Zappos...their customer service is the best and I got my shoes the next day.

CUTE SHOES -
I wore these shoes at work for 12 hours. My arches hurt a little, so I put some OTC orthotics in them. That hurt A LOT worse, so I took them out. I can feel the effect in my gastrocs but not in my glutes at all. Maybe I'm not walking right in them. I like them for work. Haven't used them to work out in, though. I'd like to try them for that.

MBT vs. Arthritis -
I ordered my MBT's because a friend said that the shoe actually helped alleviate the arthritis pain in her joints when she walked. I was skeptical of course and because of the price I almost didn't order a pair. Do not let the price scare you away! The price is worth it to get around in less pain! The first week I wore my MBT's I had no pain in my hips at all, though I still experience a little pain in my knee after wearing the MBT's that pain is not nearly as extreme and I have no pain at all when going from a sitting to standing position in these shoes. All good things have a down side right? The shoes are heavy about 1.5 lbs each for this style. Also, I am glad I read the reviews of others and ordered a full size larger than my normal size because that is a perfect fit. I have a wide toe area and the shoes are perfect there but they do slip a little in the heel - not enough to make blisters though.

I actually cried for joy -
I've been living with terrible, painful neuropathy in my feet and ankles. These shoes are the only ones I've found that actually make my feet feel better after a long walk. They aren't the cutest shoes around, but people are starting to recognize the rounded sole, and I get stopped on the street by people who have heard good things and want to know more about them. I love these shoes. Definitely order a half size larger than your usual size. They took a few days to get used to the new way I need to balance when standing still, but after the second day wearing them it was no longer a concern.

Comfort at last!
I have plantar fascitiis and the MBT's are the only shoes that have helped me heal. I went through the expensive physical therapy, orthotic inserts, etc., but to no avail. After finding out about the MBT's, I am finally in no pain when I walk. The Masai barefoot concept intrigued me along with the idea of having a cushiony rubber on the area of the sole where the pain in my foot is. Now when I walk, the painful area bounces on a cushion of rubber as compared to the average shoe (even with an orthotic insert) where the foot slams down on a hard surface. And by the way, I don't even need to wear a custom made or store bought orthotic in these shoes because the concept is not about arch support. I don't feel the need for an orthotic insert because I am using different muscles. I finally listened to my body instead of a "professional" and found something with a cushion instead of the theory of arch support. So, explain that one to the next physical therapist or podiatrist who tries to rake you over the coals. These shoes are worth the money because they actually help you. I have never felt comfortable enough in a shoe where I was able to wear it all day and didn't want to change into my slippers when I came home. But, the MBT provides that total comfort. I've tried going back to my "professionally recommended" sneaker with the "professionally recommended" orthotic insert as an experiment and felt instant pain. That's all I needed to know. This is a perfect example when thinking out-of-the-box is warranted! Please note: For me, I have found that I need to order just a 1/2 size up when ordering an MBT sandal, but a whole size up when ordering an MBT sneaker or shoe. Thank you

The jury is still out -
I have been wearing these shoes for two weeks now, but am still undecided how I feel about them. I had to return the first pair which were a half size larger than my normal, for a whole size larger - I wish they would sort out their sizes, the European equivalents weren't right either. I wear them for an hour a day, in the hope of toning up my body, when walking my dog, and have certainly noticed increased muscle activity in my legs and backside. The said parts still ache, I'm wondering just how long it will take to become used to walking in them. I'd hoped they would get to the stomach muscles too, but haven't noticed anything there. I didn't read anywhere how heavy they are. Taking them off is wonderful, like removing ski boots! Ugly, heavy, expensive - they had better start delivering up the promised benefits!

MBT Shoes -
This was my first pair of MBT shoes. I had heard so much about them and how comfortable they were. I wear orthotics, but with these, I don't. They are very comfortable and it takes a little time to get use to them, I would have to agree that they do work your legs. I am happy with the purchase although it is expensive. I would recommend purchasing a size larger, they run small.

Like Walking on the Moon -
I bought these shoes for my wife. She works as a respiratory therapist in a busy hospital. Before she started wearing the MBT Walk product her knees used to bother her after a few days of work. Now after adjusting to them she is much more comfortable and no longer suffers from knee pain. Thanks MBT.

I Can't Believe It, But They're Actually Worth It -
I had been considering these shoes for over a year now, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money. Finally, I bit the bullet and ordered them. I work at a job that has me chained to a desk most of the time and I noticed that my posture has suffered. I don't wear the shoes all day every day, but I wear them at home and running errands, etc. I have noticed that now, even when I'm not wearing them, I walk differently and my posture is starting to correct itself. They are very comfortable, they put a little spring in your step, and you can feel them working your legs and butt! I am buying a couple pairs for Christmas gifts and I will likely buy a second pair for myself. They do run small, so you should order a half a size up from your normal shoe size.

I ordered my shoes on Sunday (Monday was a holiday) and by 10am my shoes were at my door. I am grateful for the upgraded shipping.
