NOT COMFORTABLE -
Have a number of JV sandals. For the most part they look good, are comfortable and are priced right. I find this pair extremely uncomfortable. The hard rubber sole is just firm (reminds me of shoes made with recycled rubber tires). Don't even think about wearing them out for an entire day.

I love these sandals. I wear them almost all of the time now. They are dressy enough for work (OK, my office is pretty casual). They go with just about everything from shorts to dress pants. They don't offer any cushion, so if you need/want that, these probably aren't for you. However, they stay put on your feet and don't wear thin on one side the way a lot of flip-flops do. These sandals were the only footwear I brought when I visited San Francisco about three weeks ago. I walked for hours in them with no problem, even up the steepest hills.

Good looks, poor performance.
These thongs are extremely uncomfortable. They feel like I have wood planks strapped to the bottom of my feet. They look very nice and they go well with most outfits, but the comfort just couldn't get any worse. After walking in these for merely fifteen minutes, the tops of my toes already had blisters forming where the material was rubbing my feet.

If looks are everything -
I have been wearing my JV Essex thongs for about 2 weeks - mostly around the house 'cause it's still cold out (I do that to break them in). Though I love the way they look, I must say they are very hard, no cushion at all. I think these are perfect for going out to a casual dinner or maybe even to party on say a yacht, but if you want to walk around St. Bart's for the day in these thongs, your feet might be a tad pissed at you, not to mention your wallet.

Cool but hard -

 |  | Wow. I placed an order online in Seattle yesterday at 2pm and this morning before I finished my first cup of coffee a UPS guy was standing in front of me with my shoes. I was going to ask if he had a shoehorn and could put my shoes on, because it was almost like being in a shoe store it was so fast. And best of all, it was free shipping.
