I needed shoes that I could wear comfortably while commuting in New York via trains, sub-ways and lots of sidewalks! These shoes are attractive enough to go with dress slacks and skirts, and with a heel height that is enough to look like a heel, but low enough to make walking a joy! Also, the ball of my foot is a bit wide and I have trouble getting shoes that fit just right without being loose in the heel. These fit me like a glove!

Normally Indigo by Clarks shoes fit true to size (I am a 7 1/2), but these are too tight in the toe area, and had to be returned.

I bought these shoes about a year ago and have worn them all the time! They are the most comfortable heels (albeit low ones) I have ever owned. They look good with everything from casual to business casual, and I can walk for miles in them. Several reviewers point out that they wear quickly. I didn\'t find this to be the case. Although it is true that the tip of the toe gets a little worn, mine have not gotten so worn that a little shoe polish won\'t cover it up. I highly recommend these. I\'m sad that they are out of my size, or I would buy another pair in a different color!

I have these in brown and black. First off, I am a big fan of the Indigo by Clarks line. I love the styles-- fashion forward while also being comfortable. That said these shoes are both comfortable and versatile. I get a lot of wear out of them. However, the brown ones seemed to wear at the very tip of the shoe. Not sure how that happened b/c I wear both of them equally. Also, if you buy these, be VERY careful about scraping the "wood" finish on the heels. It really does take away from the overall look of the shoe if you scrape these.

How I fixed the toe -
I really like this shoe but I also noticed that the toe was getting worn and that soon I would have a hole. So I took them to a local shoe repair and the guys there wore down the original toe sole and put a new one that extended to where it was hitting the pavement. I admit that I should not have to do this but spending little extra was worth it and I think I will now be able to enjoy this shoe for a couple of years.

Cute shoe, but they have a big problem. Normally $100 is a lot for me to spend on shoes, but I really needed a shoe that would be wholesome for my feet and being by Clarks, I thought these would be that. They are NOT!! The sole on the forefoot is much narrower than your foot, so the sides of your foot literally hang over the edges of the sole with no support under the foot in those areas. In addition the sole has big gaps all the way across, once again, with no support under your foot in those places. This design is sure to push the bones in your foot out of alignment for lack of good support. I cannot wear these shoes because of the pain they cause - what a waste of $100!!

Funky and Fun no so well built -
I love the look of these shoes. My only bummer is that the fake wood heel scraped off within a week and looks a little tacky now.

I am very happy with this shoe. Typically Indigo by Clarks run wide for my narrow foot but the strap on this shoe provides for a perfect fit. I love the heel. They are very comfortable. Love them and Zappos.

Looks fantastic, but fell apart!
Like others who reviewed this shoe, I adore the style. Was thrilled to find a shoe so comfortable, pretty, and most of all, that would accommodate my orthotic. However, today on the fifth day I wore them to work; I noticed that the bottom piece of one of the heels had fallen off. Looking closer, I found some of the stitching coming apart. Hobbling home with one shoe shorter than the other, stopped off to see my shoe repair man, who told me it wasn't worth repairing the shoe. He pointed out that the leather was hitting the pavement at the front of the shoe, and told me I'd soon have holes in both toes. He says this is a new style he's noticed; the soles do not cover the shoe, so your foot hits the ground and quickly wears holes through the leather. All this in a shoe this price -- lasted just five days! Some shoe company should take this super-attractive design, put a real sole on the shoe, and make my day!

Super comfy!
I bought these shoes for a trip to NYC, where I'd be mixing business with fun. These shoes are very cute from the side view, but not quite as cute straight-on view -- they aren't quite as pointy-toed as I like and something about the wide band over the foot thickened my ankle/legs up. BUT ... I kept them, and walked all over the city, and never got a blister. I wore them with thicker socks, and at other times, a trouser sock (hose). They look great with jeans, slacks or opaque tights/skirt.

Comfortable, cute shoes, but defective after use -
Loved the shoe (have both black and brown), but after 2 months, the point at the toe wore a hole through. This is due to no sole covering the area to prevent wear. The shoe was only worn at work; the hole is due to no excessive wear or conditions. Would not recommend due to quality issues.

Great fit, cute & versatile -
A slam dunk! This shoe found its way to my heart right out of the box. I love its slightly edgy look - not your garden variety mary-jane, but classic enough to do the things you want to do with mary-janes: wear them with dresses, skirts, jeans, etc. The brown is a great color, the footbed is padded and nicely supportive for people like me who work on their feet all day. Best of all, they FIT. It's such a rare treat to put on a pair of shoes that fit snug in the heel without rubbing and that are wide enough across the bridge of the foot so they're comfortable and don't pinch, yet they're not too wide for my medium foot. The leather is strong, but supple, the heel is just enough to give it height without pain and the cut & fit of this shoe is very flattering. This is a keeper, hands down. Most highly recommended!

Another Wonderful Indigo by Clarks Shoe! I just got these shoes and just love them! They are very comfortable and look great with a skirt. Not too dressy, just right. I own 2 other Indigo by Clarks shoes and I have to say this is my favorite brand. Also congrats to Zappos. I ordered the shoes on a Tuesday night at 10 PM and they were waiting for me when I got home from work on Wednesday at 5 PM. WOW!

Love these shoes!
I am tall and constantly looking for 1 1/2 heeled shoes that are cute and these shoes fit the bill perfectly!! The brown color is perfect as well it is a true chocolate brown leather that has no reddish tint. As for comfort, THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES I HAVE EVER OWNED!

A cute shoe even I can wear!
I sort of "splurged" on this shoe. I figured it probably wouldn't look good and probably wouldn't be comfortable enough for my difficult feet, but knowing how wonderful Zappos is, I knew it was no gamble because I could always return them. WOOPS. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these shoes! I was so surprised at the comfort, first. They rival my flat slip on work shoes. In fact, I think they're even more comfortable, if you can believe it. Second, they're absolutely ADORABLE on! They even look cute with bobby socks for added versatility. Finally, I found a "cute" shoe I can wear with dresses no matter how long I expect to walk in them. I’m in love. The sizes are true to size. So, if you wear a 9.5, like me, you need a 9.5. I believe a 10 would be too big and a 9 would definitely be too short. I ordered the "rust" color, which is amazingly versatile. It easily paired with brown and also adds spice to black tones. If I could, I’d order them in every color though.

Fantastic shoe! I just received these shoes, and they are so very, very comfortable! I wear them with skirts and pants, can be dressed up or down, a wonderful all-around shoe to bridge work/dress to casual occasions. VERY highly recommend this shoe!!! I'm ordering it in brown too! True to size.
