The shoe is indeed a half size smaller than market, but not narrower. I found it to be a true medium width. I loved the taupe colour, but didn't at all like the heel; therefore, returned it.

Very Classy Shoe -
I read the reviews before ordering and decided to go up ½ a size. Good decision. In the past I have always been a true 4½ in his shoes. These are an attractive and fabulous addition to my Stuart Weitzman collection. I particularly like the colour. They are an unusual dark pearlized grey that is more or less mushroom in colour. Love them.

Great Granny!
Sexy, sleek, and very comfortable shoe! This style is all the rage, and I love it! Looks great with dress slacks as well as jeans. Really cute with a short skirt and opaque stockings! Granny is my favorite style! As always, I'm very well pleased with Zappos' service.

Fabulous shoe -
The perfect shoe to wear that Gucci or YSL pantsuit. So chic and cool; tough and feminine at the same time. Beautifully made but leather is hard. May need to break-in a bit. Runs narrow. I am a 9N but the 9M fits well. Highly recommended.

Love it!
I love this SW Granny! The quality is amazing and it is very comfortable! I wore it the whole day and it didn't hurt! The heel is at the right height! I would buy another pair if it is in black! Great buy!

Good for narrow sizes -
This is a good shoe for women who wear narrows sizes. I am normally a 4A but the 2A in this style works well. However, the leather is very stiff, so I recommend short distances first. Wear the shoe around the house until you break it in, or you will get blisters for sure.

Granny Shoe -
I have to fully agree with the other review of this shoe. Ordered online and had to return. I have very narrow feet, and am a size 9 1/2 or 10. I ordered 10N and could not believe how tight and uncomfortable they were. Also, pearlized is another term for patent leather. The shoes were very stiff and cut into the back of my ankle. Very disappointing, especially for the price.

I love this shoe and had been looking for this style for fall and winter. I don't see how this shoe can be sized "W". I can usually wear M but always try a W when it is available. I also can wear a 9 in some shoes, but since this is a lace up I thought I could go 9.5 W thus insuring I might wear this shoe. It feels like a narrow! Very disappointing and I have to return it.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: I like Taryn Rose, but also find they are narrow. I have a hard time being fitted with a good shoe!
