Design flaw disappointing -
I always take a 9.5 N, but for this shoe I had to send it back and get a 9 N. They fit OK now, feel good and look good. But the big disappointment is that the ankle straps are too short. I have to stretch the elastic holding the buckle almost to the breaking point in order to do it up just at the first hole. I know I'll be heading to a shoemaker soon for repairs. This is especially strange because I have very narrow heels (4A) and have always had the opposite problem, with ankle straps being much too long and needing to be cut. If it's too short for me it'll be too short for anyone. There's no good reason for this.

Love these!!
These are the essential summer shoe! I wear them with shorts, jeans, summer dresses...they go with everything! I read the reviews and saw that they run narrow so I ordered my usual size (9) but made sure I got them wide. They fit great. I wear the ankle strap on the last hole and they are fine, but if you have large ankles they may be uncomfortable...

A great shoe to "dress up" or "dress down"
I am an attendant in my sister's wedding this September and the wedding is being held at a farm (uneven ground, hills). We chose this shoe because it is looks dressy but is completely flat. I am very pleased with the look. Unlike other reviewers, I found the regular width to be just fine for my feet (which tend to be narrow). The ankle strap is ridiculously short and almost does not fit me. I wear an 8.5 but I am a 9 in these shoes.

Linen Material on Shoes is Easily Damaged -
I drove with these shoes on and when I took them off that evening I noticed that the linen covering on the heel/lower portion of the right shoe had "pilled." Luckily, the linen didn't rub all the way off. I won't drive in these shoes again.

Love these shoes. They are beautiful shoes and fit well. I, like others, purchased a size larger than what I usually wear to get the fit. The ankle strap is too short otherwise. I definitely would buy these shoes again.

Very nice shoe -
Generally a good shoe - gave me a bit of a blister on my big toe where the strap rubbed. Had to return the "wide" for an extra wide - someone else noted the same problem. The wide really isn't very wide at all. But otherwise, a good shoe.

Great Shoe!
This shoe is very comfortable and great-looking. It is wider in the heel than it should be but heel grippers helped with that. As to comfort, it is marvelous. I removed the strap and the shoe is downright sexy-looking AND comfortable. Hard combination to find.

Beautiful shoe, I "listened" to all the reviews and ordered up (ordered 9.5 ww, I usually take a 9w). The toe bed was way too big, so I am returning them for a 9w.

Great shoe but narrower than you would expect.
I love this shoe, but I usually take an 8 C and this one took an 8 1/2 EE to fit, so I had to exchange and scale up. But Zappos made that easy. The shoes are light and comfortable and pretty.

Who'd have thought!
My big fat bunions and I peruse the J Crew catalog on occasion, longingly looking at all of the dainty shoes. But until I have a podiatrist take a saw to aforementioned bunions, dainty shoes just aren't in the cards for me. Or so I thought. Yes! A dainty shoe for a WW! I have given up on the classic ballet flat -- they cut right into my bunions -- or they accommodate my bunions and look like boats...so I tend to look at d'orsay type shoes that have a front that can open up a little bit to accommodate my bunions. The shoe will fit in the front without gapping at the sides like a ballet flat would. This shoe is cute, classic looking, could be dressed up or down and is made in the USA. Thank you Zappos for giving us Magdesians and for being such a pleasure to those of us with odd-sized feet! Please tell Magdesians to make this shoe forever...hmm maybe a pretty beige leather next time with a low kitten heel?? The linen is nice, but leather (and suede) has more give for those of us with bunions!

Magdesians Maegan For Wide Foot -
It's so hard to find shoes that don't look orthopedic to fit my flippers. These I was grateful for, they are linen backed with leather and very pretty, yet they didn't quite live up to their xx-wide designation. The heel fits well and the ankle strap is just long enough, but those darned straps toward the “nose” squeeze my toes into a shape they don't want to go. I've little patience and less pride and I'm used to home alterations. I took a razor and, on each shoe, sliced off the front two straps, left and right, as well as the two, left and right, closest to the ankle, and though the sole protrudes just a half inch farther beyond my toes than is my taste, I can now wear the shoes. They are comfortable and I like the newly created bareness. Toenail polish is a must. If your ankles aren't quite slim enough for the ankle strap to fasten, you might take one of the sliced-off pieces from the toe area and super-glue it to the strap.

Love These Shoes -
These sandals are extremely versatile; they can be dressed up or down as an occasion demands so they will be perfect for traveling this summer. Add that to the comfort of flats and the quality of Madesian's and they are the ideal summer shoe. Because they are fabric, I did order black so that they would not show dirt. ENJOY!!

Great quality and just as described -
I bought these to wear with my wedding dress (J-CREW Sophia long). The shoes are perfect! I have not worn them yet, but in trying them on, they seem very comfortable. I am usually a size 9.5 (in strappy sandals) or 10 (in nearly everything else) and for this pair of shoes, I settled on a 10.5.

Uncomfortable.
Beautiful shoe, look and style. However, although I bought a Wide width, it was still too narrow.
