Velcro straps didn't last. I have always been a New Balance fan for myself and my children. My son loved the ease of putting on his own shoes and strapping them, however the velcro straps did not last. I am very disappointed in these shoes.

Growing toddler with a wide foot. My child fit in these sneakers wonderfully; however, as time went on, the sneakers were just coming loose because there is not much velcro to keep the sneakers closed. These sneakers would be the perfect sneaker had they either added another strap and/or made the one strap a bit larger to add more velcro, that's it! Pretty much they are great otherwise.

I got this sneaker for my 15 month old son when he started walking. I love the style of the sneaker itself and it is very easy to get on and off his foot. I had previously purchased the hi-top Chuck Taylor's, but had to take them back because it was misery trying to get them on his foot between them being tight, having to lace them up, and dealing with a kid that won't sit still. Now he is in and out of them in seconds, no wriggling!

I bought these for my 2 year old at the beginning of the summer. I thought I would take a chance and save compaired to prices of some of the other brands. I am glad I did. My son loved that they looked liked Daddy's shoes. I had no problems with the velcro, that other reviews mentioned. They still look great after 3 months of wearing. I will definitely buy NB again.

Our 3-yr-old loves her running shoes! They\'re easy for her to put on by herself (a stylish Velcro strap), and they\'re comfortable for extended wear. We love that they are a good unisex color--pink is over-rated. We noticed, when trying on running shoes, that it\'s best to order a size or two bigger, as they seem to run small.

I love these shoes and so does my son! I was reluctant after reading reviews about the velcro being too thin or always coming off, but I have not had a problem with it. I purchased the wide width, so that may have something to do with other people having a problem with it. It has not come off and he walks, runs, jumps around a lot. He usually chooses this pair when I give him options. It’s also easy for him to take off and put on himself. The velcro style actually give a “big boy” look to it. I don’t regret my purchase at all. In fact, I’m considering ordering another pair, larger size, so he’ll still be able to continue wearing it.

I love these shoes, so much so this is our second pair! They fit great for wide feet and are so easy to get on and off! I will probably buy another pair when my son grows out of the ones we have now!

My son loves these shoes; they are very light weight and cool for the hot summer. My only complaint is that the arch support is lacking, as with most toddler size athletic shoes we have found. These are better than most, but not where they should be for the support that is needed.

I'm returning these shoes after the velcro on one foot completely wore out after my 20 month old son wore them for just 2 months. The strap is too narrow. He didn't even wear them that often either. I'm in search of the same type of shoe with larger velcro straps. Still buying them from Zappos, as their customer service is excellent.

Nice shoes, good price. Only complaint is that the velcro is too small so it became frequently unlatched/didn't attach securely.

I am very pleased with these shoes -
Both my grandsons wear wide width shoes. These are true to size and the mesh tops make them easy to wash when they get dirty. They make excellent summer shoes for active kids.

My son likes these shoes. I like them because they are easy to get on and off and they look good with a lot of outfits. Plus they are cheaper than some other brands, Nike, with the same quality.

Awesome Shoe!
I bought these shoes for my 18 month old son and I love them. He has a wide foot so I was really excited to find a cool shoe in a wide width. The fit was perfect and he looks adorable in them. I recommend this shoe to everyone who has a kid with wide feet or any kid. It's really cute.

We had a very hard time finding a wide shoe at an affordable price in our area. A friend told me about Zappos. I was very impressed with the price and the shoes arrived so fast. I was also very impressed with the free shipping both ways, in case they didn't fit. I do plan to order from Zappos again.

Great shoe available in wide widths!
This is our second pair of new balance shoes for my son who is now 2. They are less expensive than stride rite (which is the only other wide width brand that I know of) and hold up really well while also looking very cool and "big boy"! The velcro is easy and he can put them on and off himself.

All kids' sneakers should have this closure design. Laces come untied and drag on the ground, and regular Velcro looks too baby-like. This zigzag Velcro keeps the shoe on very well, and looks great. I want to look and see if New Balance makes women's sneakers with the same design! My son really loves these shoes and asks for them every morning.

I order this shoe for my son and he really like them. The only problem with them was he had them about 2 weeks and the velcro part of the shoe ripped off when trying to strap them on. I had them fixed at a shoe repair shop and they have been great since. They wash up really well, too. I would recommend this show to anyone.

Great shoes! My sons feet are a little wide; therfore, we've purchased the wide in the past. He loves these shoes. The wide isn't overly wide, so if you don't have a narrow foot, I would strongly suggest ordering "W". Hope this helps!

AWESOME SHOE.
True to size. Seems comfortable on my son’s foot. Not much room to tighten strap if needed so for thicker feet make sure you get a wide. For narrow feet make sure you get regular width.

My son has wide feet. I usual buy stride rite shoes, he always complains they hurt his feet. I bought these they are great true to size and soft and comfortable. I even went back and bought another pair.

Love them! I recently purchased these sneakers for my 18 month old and we love them. They fit well (based on the size chart) and he seems to love them. We also receive a lot of compliments on how nice they are. The velcro is great for quick on/off.

Awesome sneaker!
My 3 yr old son loves these "super fast" shoes. They are very easy to put on and take off (i.e. he can do it by himself!) He says they're comfortable and is happy to wear them all day. Highly recommended.
