These shoes are so awesome. They look good under jeans or by themselves, and they are easy to walk around in even after days of having them. Now, I did have to deal with some chafing at first, especially on my toes, but I discovered that if I tie the straps loosely rather than tightly, that that helps. So if you\'re the type of person that likes to cinch the straps tight, don\'t with this pair of sandals. You\'ll save yourself some toe pain.

These sandals are nice, but I have to warn anyone who buys them that you should go out and buy friction block by band-aid and rub all over the top of your feet and the back of your heel before you put these sandals on. I have received compliments on these sandals, but if you plan on walking around a lot, then don't wear these. I found that when the bottom of the foot is sweaty your foot slides a lot in these and I even put down slip pads and my foot still slides a lot when sweaty and there is no arch support.

My favorite sandals!
I get more compliments on these sandals than any other shoes I own! They're very comfortable (my feet are flat, so they do get sore after a while in flat shoes) and look good with pretty much everything. Highly recommend!

Cute; I love these sandals! There is no arch support whatsoever, but the Roman Gladiators didn't have Dr. Scholl's back then, either. Basically, it's like going barefoot. Seriously, these are some of the best-looking glads that don't cost $300+! As a very nice, quality touch, these do come with a GR dustbag! Highly recommended!

Dear Zappos, I have made several purchases from you and been exceptionally satisfied. However, I was terribly disappointed with the Ailani Gladiators. I have four pairs of gladiators, one of which (Turquoise-Nine West) I purchased from you. All of them are made of sturdy leather. The Ailanis straps are made of leather so flimsy that I can hardly push them through the buckles. I did not return them because I could not find another pair of gladiators in your store and I needed the black shoes immediately. I will continue to buy from you and recommend you to my friends, but I thought you would like to know the Ailani shoes are not the quality that I have grown to expect from you. Peggy Woodward

Very nice for the price. I always get compliments on these sandals, and they are pretty comfy especially because the straps are adjustable. They have no support, so really are for looking nice when you go out. The front sole was a little long for me, so I tripped a couple of times. On the one hand I am a klutz; on the other, no need to order up, I think. I am an 8-8.5 and I ordered an 8.5, but would go for the 8 if I re-ordered.

Great Little Sandal -
I needed a "dressier" sandal. These went great with a skirt, but would look equally as great with shorts or jeans. I got many compliments. They are extremely comfortable.

Fantastic gladiators -
These gladiators are so awesome. Very thin sole so they don't have any arch support but the look is so great. The adjustable straps are good because I have a narrow foot and can make them fit my foot. I normally wear a size 9- 9 1/2 and I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfectly so I would not say they run large at all. I would definitely recommend these.

Look good; too big -
This shoe looks very nice, goes with jeans and dresses. It's pretty comfortable, too, but it's too big! I already walked outside in them, so I can't return them, but I suggest everyone get a half-size smaller b/c it's annoying to have too-big shoes!

I only wish I had found these sooner! I love these and get so many compliments. They are comfortable as long as you aren't walking around all day. I had blisters when I first got them, which is to be expected, but even now, weeks later, still find some unpainful blisters on my feet (I walk a lot!!!). I still wear them all the time though! I'm usually a 9-9.5, and the 9 was perfect. They are durable, and the cushioning on the bottom is great. Also, I paid for standard shipping, but Zappos had them immediately available and I got them the next day!

Love these shoes! They are really comfortable, although like any gladiator style shoe, they do lack support. But for regular walks around town, they are perfect. And as someone with narrow feet, I love the fact that the width can be adjusted in two places. Buy these if you like the style!

Perfect hot weather sandal -
I love these! They have a slip-proof sole, all the straps adjust to fit your feet, and they were comfortable right out of the box.
