These hiking boots are awesome and totally worth the money. I previously ordered a different brand boot for less and returned them to Zappos because they fit badly and were low quality. The quality of these is at least double for the extra money. They make climbing up and down mountainsides much easier. The pattern on the sole gives great traction going up and braking going down. They're also waterproof and didn't make my feet too hot. And no blisters so far! One thing I don't like is they have this weird raised area in the middle of the interior sole, not sure what that's for.

Ridiculously comfortable! I ordered three pairs of hiking boots: two Columbias and these. I tried the other two on first, thinking I'd need higher ankle coverage for support. I didn't like the way the Columbias looked on my feet, but most of all, they were stiff and uncomfortable. Then I tried these on. They are like walking on clouds and I feel I could run a marathon in them! Plus they provide plenty of ankle support for my thin ankles, and they look adorable. I'm sticking with North Face from now on!

Ready for Snow -
I purchased these shoes for a ski trip to Colorado during Spring Break. They were comfortable overall and served their purpose, preventing me from slipping in the snow. They did not fair well walking around shopping on the streets for a long period of time, but that wasn't what I purchased them for. Overall this was a good shoe and I will use them again for vacations where there may be snow.

Excellent snow boot/shoe!! I tramped around in slushy snow in Utah for three days with my kids. Fantastic traction and COMPLETELY waterproof. My feet were very comfortable and this was with no break in period. I enthusiastically recommend this boot. The only other thing I would mention is you might need a silk liner sock if it were cold weather (below 20 degrees).

Waterproof. Light. Excellent traction. Warm enough for winter use. Uppers can scratch easily because of soft leather. Good for dog walking in all sorts of weather.

Greta Boot for Comfort and Warmth -
I was looking for a boot that would satisfy three requirements: be waterproof, comfortable and have good traction. These boots fill the bill! I ordered my regular size (8.5) and they're fine. So far they are warm enough with just one good pair of socks. These boots are just what I needed for a cold, snowy Chicago winter. Zappos even upgraded my shipping from regular to express and I had the shoes in about 3 days. I will definitely do business with Zappos again.

Finally...
I've found a pair of winter boots that don't hurt my high arch/low volume feet! I did need to use my Aetrex walker/runner orthotic but was actually able to go out for my daily walk without pain. The only reason I'm giving the boots a 4 star rating instead of a 5 is that they are not the warmest boots in the world. Granted, I was out for a walk this morning in 8 degree weather, perhaps no shoe would be warm enough in that kind of cold but aside from that, a terrifically comfy boot. I certainly wouldn't have them without Zappos terrific customer service and free returns! Thanks Zappos!

Love It - Snowshoeing - Wonderful and light for snowshoeing and good traction for walking around in snow. Sturdy enough but not too stiff. Water repellent. I usually wear a size 8 (or 9 Ryka) but got these in size 9. Tons of room in the toes. Size 8.5 might have been close but very narrow across the mid part of foot at the laces. If you need huge amount of arch support, then maybe a problem. Sure beats 3 lb boots for snowshoeing! Super service from Zappos till I got the right size.

A Very stylish shoe - A nice modern look that is multifunctional. The shoe has nice built-in shoe inserts for added comfort. The shoe itself boasts a very soft, expensive feeling leather, which can be a negative because it easily scuffs and can tear. It's a bit pricey but you are getting a high quality shoe. Shoes seem to be a 1/2 size bigger than normal which usually seems to be the case with slip-ons. Enjoy.

I love, love, love these boots. My husband ordered them for me because he wanted me to have a boot with good traction and boy are these the ones. I call them my spidey boots because I feel like I could walk up walls with them. They are warm and comfortable and well worth the money!

Not the best -
I love the feel of the boot, but if you need a good arch support, this boot is not for you....very sloppy support. I'm afraid I'll send these back before I wear them outside the house...my feet would ache in just a short time.

Great Winter Walking Boot -
I have walked in this boot, in pouring rain and slush, and a little snow, my foot remains toasty warm and it is very light weight and comfortable...I only wish is was available in black.

Wonderful Snow Boot -
I love the Snowkat II's - I recently found out that I have Hallux Rigidis in both big toes. If it wasn't for Zappos' amazing service, I would be barefoot! I have been trying many different shoes/boots looking for ones that are bearable on my feet. The Snowkat II's are perfect. They are soft, and don't rub my toe joints, I can cinch them up so they hug my narrow heels and the arch support is excellent. I didn't have to size up which is great. I haven't tried them in the snow, but The North Face is a very reliable brand!

 |  | Zappos rocks, you so made my nine year old son’s day. We went looking for new DC shoes last Sunday and spent 3 hours only to find out that his shoe size was 6.5 right between boy’s and men's. The stores had no selection in either. We were told by one salesperson that most boys skip that size so they don't carry many. He was very disappointed, I suggested ordering from you guys that night and he didn't want to wait for shipping. I told him Zappos was quick, but he wanted to try stores again, so we did on Tuesday evening and came home empty handed again. We got online, ordered a pair he liked (there were so many to chose from in the size we needed) at 9:30 that night. Of course he was all about when would they be here, again I told him how quick you are at shipping and that probably Thursday at the latest Friday. He came home from school on Wednesday and they were on the front porch. He was so happy!!! Loved the shoes and can't wait to order another pair. I have told other people how fast they got here and no one believes that is even possible. I don't know how you do it, but thanks so much. You're the best.
