They are a little "hard." They are not the most comfortable for long walks or a long day on your feet. I wear them to run errands or with a sundress and they are perfect. My other sanuk's are VERY comfy, where these are more stylish and I like the extra 2.

Comfortable thong sandal -
The "Ringer" is a cute sandal and quite comfortable. It is definitely a casual thong because of the frayed-edge detail; it's perfect for summer clothes. The wedge gives it a bit more style than a normal thong.

Cute, fun flip flop.
The Sanuk Ringer is a cute flip flop with a funky twist. It's very versatile, can dress it up or down. It's no more or no less comfortable than any other flip flop. The fabric is soft on the upper and the sole.

Cute and Comfy -
I discovered Sanuk shoes during a trip to Disney World when my feet were hurting... bought Sanuk sandals and they were great. These are very cushy and comfortable, with a "casual" look of the fringed out edges. I live close to the beach, so these are great fun beach flops.
