Fantastic looking, but not comfortable - Compared to a few other AE styles I tried, I chose this one mainly because of the single piece of leather that comprises the upper, which lends a very understated elegance to the shoe. Wood and leather soles - as well as the price - also identify this as a classic and sophisticated shoe. However, the break in is NOT pleasant. I've hand rubbed Dr. Martens shoe oil into the leather several times to try to soften them up, which has helped and I recommend. But even now after wearing the shoes about 20 times they're not what I'd describe as comfortable. Also important to know: owing to the styling of the shoe, the heel has a lower rise than others (I confirmed this by holding it up next to another pair of AE), so despite the fact I ordered the same size on this shoe as all my other dress shoes, my heel rises slightly out of the shoe with every step. Finally, be aware you'll also need to spend extra on top of the shoes for insoles (not included with AE shoes) and shoe trees.

Stylish lace-up for a little change up to one's wardrobe -
I had purchased a similar pair of these from Nordstrom's. Comfortable and very stylish shoe that draws compliments. I am trial lawyer and appearance and image is sometimes important when dealing with juror's and opponent's impressions. This shoe portrays a very upscale image at a very reasonable price.

I wear between a women's 11 and 12 and you actually have an 11.5. My boys both wear a size 14 and my husband a 13, and we never have a problem finding fasionable shoes… but your free and fast delivery is incredible. I ordered a pair of shoes last night online and I received them today for free delivery. I will never go to a shoe or department store again. Those stores never have my size and I have to drive all over to find my size. Your prices are higher, but well worth it and I am willing to pay for your great service.
