These shoes are the best for people who are on their feet all day or are looking for a good walking shoe. I bought them for a trip where there would be a lot of walking involved. I did not own a good pair of walking shoes and decided to give these a try. The lacing technique is great! My feet never hurt at any time during my trip. I have a wide foot and wear a size 11 with a high instep. This shoe never pinched. There was plenty of room in the toe area without my foot sliding around in the shoe. If the shoe got loose during the day, it was an easy twist of the dial at the back of the shoe to tighten. Didn't have to stop, bend over and untie any laces. Usually with regular tennis shoes my feet would burn after a long session of walking. Not with these shoes. I highly recommend them. Pricey, but worth every penny.

Fantastic shoes. My 4E foot has never felt so good while hiking. The brown leather gives them the look of "real" hiking shoes, instead of regular athletic shoes. I just came back from a trip to the mountains of TN and NC and hiked many miles in them; they felt great the whole way. The cable closure worked great; I had no problems with it and in fact it was a great positive, no shoe strings to catch on twigs and brush, no untied shoes while climbing a trail. Pricey but worth every penny. Every pair of Drew shoes I have ordered have been great.

Excellent Rocker Bottom - 4 years ago I sprained my entire foot resulting in a Lisfranc fracture and ligament injury. I had fusion and major arch repair surgery with 7 screws placed in my foot. Because my foot doesn't bend, the shoe has to for me. These are the first pair of shoes that haven't hurt my foot, come in a EEEE and deep enough to place my orthodics in! They are extremely comfortable. I can't believe it, finally a shoe that does not cause pain, feel great, support my foot, and rock nicely. Thanks Zappos for your awesome customer service, too!

I love these shoes, the Boa lacing system seems to grip your foot in a way that really holds it in place. I have a son with Cerebral Palsy, he has some foot deformities and lots of problems with shoes. I bought him a pair and so far they are working out quite well.I so appreciate the free shipping both ways, it allows me to try shoes in different sizes to get the perfect fit. Thank you Zappos

This is a wonderful and unique therapeutic shoe. It is not oversized, yet leaves room for othotics. I bought a size longer and kept my usual extra wide width, but didn’t have to. It didn’t matter with this new on-the fly Boa technology, I can adjust the whole shoe for a custom fit. I highly recommend this shoe if you want good custom support for problem feet.

I have very hard to fit feet. They are short-5.5 but very wide. I usually stretch a 4E and they are sensitive. These shoes are comfortable and I just love the adjustment. I walk a lot. I hate having to re- tie my shoes because the laces have loosened, especially when walking the dog and only have 1 hand to use. I can adjust these shoes with one hand just how I like them. I highly recommend them.

Comfortable support and fits orthotics well, but I have wide feet in front and narrow feet in the heel and with a wide size in this shoe the back is too loose for my feet. The new lacing system is fun, but I can't adjust it for the looseness in the back of the shoes as much as I could have with regular laces.

Thought a wide would accommodate some mild bunions and Morton's neuroma, but still seemed these shoes were too tight. Elected to try other brands to see if I now need an extra wide. Also, I am not used to spending this much on a pair of sneakers, but I did love the lacing technology! Cannot say enough about Zappos free return policy!

In search of the perfect shoe -
I'm always looking for that perfect shoe and this one comes close. I ordered it in wide and it is a bit sloppy on the heel and I have to wear heavier socks than I would like. Otherwise it is a very good, comfortable shoe. I like the fact that there are no shoe laces and the tightening/loosening mechanism works great. I can spend the whole day wearing these shoes and without experiencing back or foot pain. I also like the color combination as this shoe can be worn with either black or brown capris/slacks/etc.

Drew Blaze cools my burning feet!
I have a problem with very swollen feet. I purchased this shoe because of the 4W width. The shoe is extremely comfortable and I love, love, love, the gizmo that tightens up the shoe. These shoes have no laces. I am extremely happy with this purchase. The cost is pricey, but for me, well worth it. I wish they also came all in black because I would buy a pair of those also.

I have searched and searched for a shoe that fit my foot with comfort. My feet are short and very wide. I have a form of neuropathy due to "restless leg syndrome" which causes a lot of pain. I had to give up my wonderful dog walks, just because of the pain. I just returned from an invigorating walk in my new Drew Blazers! These are just great, very stable, no pressure points and my "cushy" inserts fit perfectly. I love the ingenious tie method ... no more stopping to retie those nylon shoestrings! I can't say enough. It is worth every penny. Zappos has pulled through once again, and thanks to all that leave feedback, I bought these on your recommendations. Thanks so much!

Finally found a shoe that fits!!
I wear a size 10WW and have spurs and wear orthotics. I can wear jeans to work so I almost always wear athletic type shoes.
First off, I want to thank Zappos for their super quick shipping and for offering such a variety of shoes & sizes. I also love the Review section. These shoes came by UPS the next day! I put them on and walked all over my apartment and it felt like I was walking on air. I kept saying to myself "Oh my God!". In a good way, that is:)
My orthodics fit perfectly in them. I have a pair of Skechers D'Lites in a 10W. I found they are wider than my NB 10W's but with the Skechers, they are not deep enough for my orthotics. These shoes work perfectly!
And the boa system is just way too cool! I use it all the time. Just reach down and I can loosen or tighten them in seconds. So you can do that in public and not look dumb squatting down to mess with regular shoe laces.
At first I almost balked at the price but knew I had to have a good pair of shoes and for what I got, $154 was a bargain!!

This is a very nice looking shoe. I have a rather bulky ankle orthotic and it accommodates it nicely when I remove one of the insoles. The shoe is sturdy and the lacing system is a dream.

I loved this shoe, looked big, but it fit all over fine except I have heel spurs and these were just not cushy enough for my heel spurs. I mean these spurs are so bad you could hang me by my heels! I really need a cushy heel since I stand and walk a lot at work. SO I keep searching here on Zappos. I will never buy shoes from anyone else all because Zappos understands women and their problem feet. Plus, you can NEVER find shoes in a wide width locally… no matter how many stores you go to. And in this economy, I don't have the time or gas to run all over the county looking for wide soft shoes! Zappos, you've got me as a long time customer!

These shoes are GREAT. I can wear them comfortably with or without my orthotics as the support is good either way. I wore them for HOURS the first day with no problem. It is so easy to adjust the lace part. Definitely would buy another pair and would recommend them to others.

I love these shoes! They are true to size and therefore comfortable. They are great for feet that swell in the latter part of the day because a quick touch can loosen the shoe. And, for those of us who can't keep our laces tied, they are fabulous. I just wish that they were more fashionable.

These shoes are comfy from the moment you slip your foot into it. No blisters, no breaking in, no problems whatsoever. They run a tad wide but with a nice hiking sock it still works. Really like the way these things lace up. So easy to take off and put on. WAY EXPENSIVE but I'm glad I bought these.

Oh, our God, these shoes are wonderful! Neuromas and RA make shoes one of my most important and most difficult purchases to make, UNTIL I found the combination of Drew Blaze shoes and Zappos.com! Neither can be made any better. The shoes arrived in less than 24 hours and I was able to wear them comfortably for the next 10 hours. I am so amazed and pleased.

I love Zappos - I am very pleased with this shoe, I have problems with my feet - diabetic neuropathy and charcot foot. This is the first time I have been able to walk without any pain. Zappos is an outstanding company (price of shoes very reasonable). Also when I ordered these shoes in the afternoon on Wednesday they arrived at my house the very next day - outstanding service. I bought this shoe to use as a hiking shoe, as I've had trouble finding shoes that fit and are comfortable. These are absolutely the best hiking shoe I've had - lots of support and easy to adjust. I have wide feet and this shoe feels great on my feet.
