This shoe looks just like the picture - the wedge gives it the illusion of a heel and adds arch support. The patent leather was very nice and surprisingly soft and it was well made. It looked great on until I left them on for a few minutes. They seem to run narrow across the ball of the foot. I walked around the house in them for a little while knowing that quality leather will relax very quickly rather than ease up the discomfort increased. I've never run into this problem with this brand and I've been wearing Amalfi for many years, but Zappos was terrific about handling the return and the return shipping label appeared on my computer instantly. While I don't have a wide foot by any means, this might be a good choice for someone with a narrow foot. It would be good with capris, slacks, or skirts and had the potential for being a very nice choice for just about anything, but not on my foot.

 |  | I just wanted to tell you guys/gals how wonderful you are. I ordered a pair of sneakers for my wife at about 9:35pm on Monday night, 9/8/08. I placed the order with the 4-5 business day free shipping. My wife's birthday is Saturday, 9/13/08 and I was a little bummed that they might not get here until maybe Monday, missing her birthday. Well, I was wrong! They arrived at our door step the very next day...AMAZING! I couldn't believe they got here so fast, from 9:30pm on 9/8/08 to about 3:00pm on 9/9/08. You guys/gals are amazing and I will tell everyone I know to use your web site. The gift has been wrapped and my wife never saw the package, so it all worked out as great as ever.
