On my first walk in thse shoes I wound up with three blisters per foot. Both of my big toes and both of my second toes have huge blisters. Perhaps, if you do not walk much, these would be fine. My last pair of Clarks were comfortable for many miles over a few years.

Clarks is my favorite brand of shoes. I own 15 pairs. This style did not let me down. Clarks are always comfortable. I have a high instep so have to get a wide to compensate for that.

Great sandal - I really like Clark shoes of all styles and this sandal is very comfortable. I've found that Clarks run differently, and I have to have a half size smaller in regular shoes. In these sandals, I ended up with a whole size smaller than I usually wear.

Good but not great - Overall I like the shoes. The first few times I wore them they rubbed on my big toe but after a while they were worn in and that went away. They do seem to have stretched out and don't feel as snug around my foot as I would like. Also, the arch support is not what I would have expected, but I am used to it now. Overall I like the shoes and will wear them a lot.

High Hopes Dashed -
I had high hopes for this shoe. I was happy that they came in Wide, and also I saw that there is an adjustable strap for the instep. Sadly, the footbed was not wide enough for me, and my feet hung off the side. The instep strap did adjust well -- about a 1/2 inch, so if you have a high instep and a normal or only slightly wide foot, these could work for you.

Stylish casual comfy sandal -
I like that the shoe was padded and heel not too high. I can wear this shoe with pants or skirts. Nice that there's an adjustable buckle on top of the shoe. Wore it all day and my feet and back felt fine.

Very comfortable shoe. I have high arches and have had problems with plantar fasciitis in the past. I took these sandals on vacation recently and spent whole days walking through zoos, etc. No foot pain whatsoever and no blisters. I also quite like the way they look.

I absolutely love Clarks shoes. They are so comfortable. I can wear Clarks all day long and my feet never hurt, even on the first day. I would like some dressy styles with the height of a heel.

These shoes hurt -
The leather rim across the front of the shoe cuts into my toes each time I take a step. It’s thin and sharp. Ouch! I have to curl my toes with each step.

I hated to return this shoe, but the top puckered when I stood up and I didn't like the look of that, otherwise I would have kept them.

Good for walking -
At first I thought these sandals were built funny because they have an "arch" much closer to the toes than my actual arch is. I decided to keep them because they were Clarks and seemed comfortable. Now I think that "arch" is a special design to help the shoe stay on your foot when walking fast. They are unusually good walking shoes for a slide sandal. The design is not particularly elegant, but I like the dark red color. They're my main summer sandals and I'll wear them with pants and casual dresses or skirts.

Clarks Alyx--too bad; nice leather.
I own several Clarks shoes. I love the ones I own, but can't stand the ones I toss back. Clarks changes the toe area width often. When they round the toe area, they get that Hobbit look. When they slim it to be a titch narrower, they are stylish. The opening for toes was wider than a similar pair I own. This caused my feet to slide forward. I am a 6.5 M in Clarks; ordered that; these were 1/2 size too big. The styling is oldish--made me think of orthopedic shoes. Alyx are Grandma Hobbit shoes, to me, on me. My husband took one look and said Whoa! Those go back. Got them in the Blue for summer blue shoes--as they are visibly a blue-blue. Comfy, no problems there, just styling and shape off.

I like the looks of this shoe very much and they fit well, BUT, I wanted bright red and I thought "vampire red" would fit the bill. I was disappointed when the color turned out to be more like oxblood. However, I'm going to keep them because I like them. Thanks again, Zappos for you very prompt service.

Didn't work for me -
Unfortunately this shoe did not work for me. Perhaps is the fact that I wear a size 6 and my toes are short but the edge of the letter covering the instep really rubbed up against my toes especially my big toe and I thought that would cause irritation the longer I wore them. The footbed was comfortable and gave good support but I had to return these.

Very comfortable!
I love Clarks shoes and I wasn’t disappointed with this pair. It’s nice when I stepped into these shoes because I had just tried on some other uncomfortable shoes (ordered at the same time). The first time I wore these shoes, I was on my feet for a few hours... no break-in required! I would definitely recommend these shoes to others who are considering them.

I love these sandals -
These sandals are so comfortable and they look very expensive. I get tons of compliments every time I wear them. They have a very soft material that feels so good against the bottom of my feet. I got them in the dark brown. I know they will last for a few years.

Much nicer than it looks!
I love my Clark shoes. They LOOKED a bit chunky but they are NOT. Very nice fit and very, very comfortable to wear. You won't be sorry.

Not wide enough -
I have a wide foot - between a W and a WW. This shoe, though it looked good, has a strap right at the widest part of my foot. And, since it does not come in WW I had to send it back or it would have rubbed. Too bad!

 |  | Zappos rocks, you so made my nine year old son’s day. We went looking for new DC shoes last Sunday and spent 3 hours only to find out that his shoe size was 6.5 right between boy’s and men's. The stores had no selection in either. We were told by one salesperson that most boys skip that size so they don't carry many. He was very disappointed, I suggested ordering from you guys that night and he didn't want to wait for shipping. I told him Zappos was quick, but he wanted to try stores again, so we did on Tuesday evening and came home empty handed again. We got online, ordered a pair he liked (there were so many to chose from in the size we needed) at 9:30 that night. Of course he was all about when would they be here, again I told him how quick you are at shipping and that probably Thursday at the latest Friday. He came home from school on Wednesday and they were on the front porch. He was so happy!!! Loved the shoes and can't wait to order another pair. I have told other people how fast they got here and no one believes that is even possible. I don't know how you do it, but thanks so much. You're the best.
